The Girl With A Dragon

Whether I like it or not, it is back to reality. Back to my castle and my preparations to become queen in three short months. My reality, for the past week, has been a none stop flow of political documents, reviewing our tax systems, and making the changes that I see fit. I know that my father hates this task. So he was quick to give this responsibility to me.  This tedious task was going well until my lady in waiting came in.

We head out to the large artificial caves that we built as their homes.

Just like my lady in waiting said,, my dragon is moving around a bunch and occasionally roaring. While my parent's dragons are laying down nicely and watching her with curious eyes.

When she hears my voice, she stops what she’s doing and stomps towards me. Her weight is making the ground tremble. Seeing this large, majestic creature stomp towards them, would scare most normal people, but I am a dragon tamer and I know that she won’t hurt me. She leans her head down towards me and I scratch behind her ears.

As I talk to her, her silver eyes change from dark silver to a light silver, as if she is listening and understanding. I sigh.

Ann simply nods and heads back inside our castle. I walk over, grab a saddle, and add some extra snacks to the pack.  I mount my dragon and head west towards the coast.  It’s been so long since I’ve flown. I’ve missed this. The wind against my skin and the way the sunshine casts shadows over the different towns within my region.

I’m flying for around an hour and a half when I see two small aqua dragons spewing water over our farms. I direct Sapphire towards them.  Emily is the first to see me and waves. I smile and wave back.  Ava points towards a large open beach and all three of us head towards it to land.

Sapphire lands gracefully considering her size. Ava’s dragon lands in the waves and walks on shore. Emily’s dragon lands with a bit of thud.

I laugh a bit before saying

I dismount and climb my dragon’s scales down to the ground.

says Emily with a sigh.

Says Emily while blushing a bit.

as I say this I take out a large piece of dried meat and give some to Sapphire. I take a piece to Emily’s dragon.

said Ava as she hopped down from her dragon.

Ava babbled all of this happily while scratching behind Nelsie’s ears. .

I chuckle at Ava’s enthusiasm about her dragon.

 Said Emily as she walked over and grabbed another snack for her dragon.

   said Ava excitedly. “From here, it is only an hour more to our castle.”>

said Emily quickly.

said Ava excitedly.

I say back. Still puzzled about lacking those memories.

Said Emily.

I say and smile back at both of them.>
