An Alpha's Revenge

Chapter 4

 Anna POV

 Upon entering the clearing there was a hooded figure standing there in the middle of the lake. Athena lowered herself and started growling at him menacingly. I had no idea who this figure was, there was so much going through my mind that I couldn't comprehend it all at once.

  "Athena what are you doing?"

  "I want to rip his head off that's what we are doing. He took everything from us, we can't let him get away with it."

   "Anna! Anna! Where are you?"

   "Annaliese!"

  Jake and Orlando's voices were calling out of the forest looking for us. I could hear them coming closer but they weren't the ones who came out of the forest first. Alpha Thorne was. He looked at Athena and I and then looked at the hooded figure.

  "You are trespassing on my territory, that means I have every right to tear you apart. I suggest you get off this property now."

  The hooded figure lifted its head slightly but not enough for me us to see his face and spoke.

  "You of all people know that I can not be stopped and I will not stop. She will be mine by the Moon Goddess I will have her and you can not stop me."'

   After speaking he ran and jumped off the cliff I had shifted back to my human form and raced to the edge to see if I can see him. At the same time Jake, Orlando, Leslie, Rose, and everyone else came rushing out of the forest as a giant terrifying howl tore across the night sky. Everyone stopped in their place and looked at me and Alpha Thorne.

  "What is going on her?" Rose asked.

  "I'll tell you what's going on here!" I interjected, "the alpha here decided to let go the one person who killed my entire pack because he trespassed on Blue River property instead of apprehending him so that I can get answers."

  "Thorne is that true?"

  "Dad why would you do that?" Jake asked.

  "You guys were not even close to help me apprehend him and I had no way to hold him myself. I did what I thought was best at the moment."

 "That's bullshit and you know it! I may be a newly shifted wolf but I could have taken him."

 "You don't know that Annaliese I was protecting you."

  "Stop with all the damn lies. You know that bastard and you helped him get away just admit it. I can't believe this shit."

   "Anna?" Orlando calmly approached me "I can't understand how you feel right now. I have an inkling about it cause of what this person did to all of us, but we should get you back so you can calm down and we have other business to take care. I have an elder waiting for us to do the Alpha ceremony for you."

  I turned towards Orlando with fire in my eyes but the look he had in his soon quelled the fire burning inside. 

 "Why do I feel like I am on fire?" I asked Athena.

 "It is a part of who we are. You will know soon enough what we are capable of hon you just have to be patient."

  Jake stepped forward and took my hand, "I am so sorry Anna I promise to help you make this right even if it kills me."

  "Thank you Jake. You really are my greatest friend." I kissed him on the cheek and followed Orlando back to our rooms.

UnKnown POV

   I couldn't believe she found me. I hadn't expected her to s**t so early and sense me being that close to her, but seeing her in person in her wolf form was magnificent. I can not wait until this plan fully comes together.

  "Father where have you been? You have never been out this late."

  "Ah Astin, I was just out exploring I needed some air. We have some things we need to discuss. In two days times you are going to the Blue River Ball."

 "But why I already have a girl dad, I know she ain't my mate but I love her and want to be with her?"

 "That girl is nothing you will go to this ball and I need you to be on the lookout for a girl."

 "What girl, I am going to a ball where all the wolves are not with their mates I am pretty sure that they are going to be a bunch of girls there so who exactly am I looking for?"

 "You will know her when you see her. She will be hard to miss and maybe even hard to resist."

 "What does that even mean? You know what forget it I don't want to go I will be the only one from our pack there right?"

  "Quiet you insolent little brat. I told your mom she smothered you when you were a child. Grow up child and do what I say."

  "You are such an asshole. I will go to this s**t but I won't like it and I am taking Maria with me."

 "You will not take her anywhere she will stay here!"

 "Watch me old man! If you want me to go to this bullshit excuse of a ball and look out for your mystery girl then she is going with me." he yelled as he walked out.

Anna POV

  The Alpha ceremony was pretty intense I had to have my hand sliced open as well as Orlando's so that I could have access to everyone that was in our small pack through the mind link. Once the link was complete I could hear everyone congratulate me even though we were all in the same room. It made me laugh. I can't wait until I can have this pack expand and become bigger, stronger, and faster than we were when my parents were alive.

  "Congratulations Alpha Anna, I couldn't be happier than to serve under you." Orlando exclaimed as eh hugged me.

  Everyone else nodded their head in agreement.

  "I should be thanking you all. Without any of you none of this would have been possible and I can't be more grateful. This really means so much to me and you know I do have to name my Beta and Gamma. Orlando if you have no objections would you be my Beta."

  "Of course I will Anna! It would be my honor to be your beta."

  "As for my Gamma Leslie would you be my Gamma. I now I haven't had the chance to sit with all of you and get your thoughts on things but I promise that will change. So how about it Leslie?"

 Leslie hopped up from her seat next to Aires and ran to hug me.

 "You are going to be the best Alpha we ever had. Even when you find your mate you will always be my Alpha!"

  "My mate? I never thought about that, will I still be your Alpha if he is somewhere out there or will I just become your Luna?"

  "That is something we should ask an elder, I think if you wanted you could still remain our Alpha and he would be as well just in name I think you would be our Luna. Honest;y it is whatever you and your ate decide to do but we should consult an elder on that matter." Aires suggested.

  "Well finding a mate is the least of my worries right now. I am more concerned about who this person is and what they want with me. WE should get some rest we need to be prepared for this ball. It tonight was any indication of how things are going to go we need to be on our toes for anything to happen."

  Once we all disbanded and went to bed the rest of the day was uneventful. The day of the ball Jake took me to go dress shopping and so we can talk since I have been avoiding him since the debacle in the forest. I didn't want to go shopping but he was my best friend and me avoiding him wasn't being fair so I reluctantly agreed.

  "I am happy you agreed to come shopping with me Anna! Things have been pretty intense since your birthday."

  "Yeah it has. I am sorry I have avoided you since then I just don't know how to process everything that has happened."

 "It's okay neither have I. My father has been locked away in his office pretty much. I only see him at dinner if he even come down. He won;t even answer my mom's questions when she asks him what is going on with him."

  "Don't you all find that a little strange. I mean come on you guys can not tell me that your father's behavior is anything but normal."

  "I understand Anna, but what can I do I know I said that I would help you but you have to cut me some slack he is my dad."

  "Yeah okay I am gonna go inside here and see what I can find for tonight. I can meet you back here or back at the house if you want."

  "I do not think you should be alone Annaliese and I really do not want you to go home by yourself so I will meet you here."

  "I am more than capable of being on my own, but fine I will meet you here in one hour don't be late or I am going back to the house without you got it?

  "There is absolutely no need for you to be bossy and stubborn, but cool one hour I will be here. Anna you are my best friend and I am just trying to look out for you okay?"

    "Yeah I got it Jake."

  I always hated shopping and today makes no exception. I wasn't looking for a mate and I know the Moon Goddess would "bless" me with someone eventually whether I wanted him or not. My one and only priority was finding out what was going on with Alpha Thorne and finding the mystery man from the forest. Both are connected somehow, someway and I was going to get to the bottom of it. I finished my shopping and with a half hour left I decided to walk around for a bit. I turned the corner and was met with the most amazing scent, before I could really give in to the scent all i could hear was growling in my head.
