As we drove through the city, I looked out the window at the people hurrying down the streets with their umbrellas. The rain water slid down the sides of the buildings and accumulated at the bottom before flowing down to the drains. The shops we drove by were very busy with people walking in and out to get away from the rain and leaving once they realized that it would not stop anytime soon. There was light traffic in the streets because people either thought it better to stay at home and not leave for the day, or they decided that walking would be better so as to avoid dirtying their cars.
