Steph half turned and glared at the kid who’d shoved his Mario Brothers suitcase into her heels for the third time.
“Sorry.” The kid’s mom, looking haggard already, pulled the boy back.
“Want to see my—?”
“No.”
The little girl, barely older than the boy, shrunk back and hid behind her mother, who gave Steph a sour look.
Give me a f*****g break, woman! Or watch your damn kids.
The line moved and Steph with it. This time she managed to escape the attack from trolley Mario. Ahead of her, Annika was chatting with Leo who, along with Tobias, had chosen the line next to them. Not that it was moving any faster.
“Are you traveling together?”
“No.” Steph and Annika answered in unison and the guy behind the counter gave them a surprised look before taking and scanning
