God, was this trip ever going to end?
Slumped against the window of the pick-up truck, Steph tried to doze, but the glass vibrated under her cheek, and every so often they hit an uneven spot in the road that made the whole damn thing jerk. It didn’t help that all around her conversation flowed animatedly, with Leo and Tobias gleefully teasing each other and Annika up front pestering the woman from the ranch about one thing or another.
