Chapter 19Steph What was that? Steph’s eyes flew open. The room was pitch black, quiet, and utterly unfamiliar. She shifted and the bed creaked. Right. Leaving dinner early last evening had awarded her a leisurely shower with no one to disturb her. She’d meant to read in bed for a bit after—her k****e app was loaded with lesbian romances, steamy and otherwise—but upon realizing that if she fell asleep, her phone was apt to crash to the floor from a considerable height, she’d left it on the dresser.
