“What was all that about last night? I thought you girls didn’t like one another much.”
Tobias sidled up to them as they were assembling outside the barn. Leo was still getting ready. The guys had been so late to breakfast that Annika and Steph had finished theirs before they even showed up. No doubt they’d been finishing what she and Steph had so rudely interrupted.
“Oh, you know,” Steph said loftily, before Annika could respond. “Some things actually are better if you don’t really know the other person. And Annika is very attractive.”
