Boom!
Annika awoke with a start then cowered beneath her pillow. What the hell was that? It sounded like something had exploded right outside her bedroom window.
She whimpered, remembering a recent bomb threat in Munich that thankfully had turned out to be a hoax. Or was it? Wait. She wasn’t home. She wasn’t in the city. She released the pillow from around her head and turned onto her back. Nope, she wasn’t in Germany. In the flashes of light coming through the curtains, she could see the underside of Steph’s bunk over her head.
