The special one

Chapter Two

The elders held a meeting discussing what should happen to keep this pack alive and well. And their decision was something that I never thought would happen to me.  They called me in, as I stood in front of the elders which felt like I was on trial for murder. They looked down upon me and said “ Elena Madeliane Bush, we have come to our decision on what will happen to the pack. The Beta will intern until you find a husband to take over as Alpha. We have selected second born Alpha sons to came and stay here while you get to know each one and chose who will be the next Alpha.” I was in absolute shock I was not expecting this one bit. So, I looked at them and said “ I will go through the trials of finding a husband as long as he is my true mate. That is the only way that I will marry anyone. “ And I turned around and left the meeting hall with them all dumbfounded at what I told them. The very next day second-born alpha sons started to show up. I was not prepared for the chaos that was about to happen. I was sitting in the living room when one of the guys that I was supposed to be interviewing to see if he was fit to be alpha walked in. He had hair as black as night and eyes oh those eyes they were as blue as the Caribbean sea with skin that was like caramel. He had broad shoulders and he was to be at least six feet and five inches tall. And he had muscles that just enveloped his body. Then all of a sudden this amazing smell hit me. It smelt as if cinnamon and chocolate had a baby. I had to keep myself from drooling at the smell. And my wolf started shouting in my head MATE!!! Then I looked up and to my surprise, it was the eye candy in front of me. As soon as I locked eyes with him sparks flew. I had this undeniable desire to want to touch his muscled body. But when I looked at him I saw nothing in his eyes. And it scared me a little bit. Then he held out his hand to shake mine and when I touched his hand it was like a fire ignited in my hand. As soon as that happened I looked up and finally saw it in those beautiful eyes of his that he felt the bond. Then we stood there for a while and it felt just like it was the two of us in the whole universe. And he finally was able to mumble out his name “M...Ma...Mason.” 

Mason’s POV

I was standing waiting for my turn to talk to the beautiful woman that looked like she was Sunkist by the goddess herself. Her skin was as if she had walked out of the sun, her hair was as red as fire and her eyes were like chocolate chips. She was a sight to see. But, if I am being honest I hated being here because I wanted to find my mate. And that was all being taken away from me because my father thought that it was what was best for the pack and that it would make a great alliance. I went ahead and came but when I walked in I smelly a smell that was so sweet that it was intoxicating. It smelt like mint and lavender. Then it became my turn to introduce myself to Elena. I walked over and the smell kept getting stronger until I was standing right in front of her and my wolf screamed “MATE!!” and I was in so much shock that my face was blank because I could read it by her expression. So, I reached my hand out to shake hers so I could touch her and when we did sparks flew from my hand and up my arm. And it felt as if we were the only ones in the whole universe. I finally had enough strength to mumble out my name. “M...Ma...Mason.”

Elena’s POV

When I came back to my senses I looked around and needed to find an elder to get them to dismiss everyone so me and my new found mate could be alone. I looked around and found no one except the Beta. I waved him over and asked if he would dismiss everyone and he did as I asked. Everyone left and it was just me and Mason we were left to be able to figure out what to do next. We sat together on the couch and we got to know each other. I realized that he was here to help me get through the tragedy that I had just experienced. And I felt a calming sensation come over me as I sat there talking to my mate. Then when everything died down me and him went to the elders and told them that we were each other's mate and that the search was over. The elder council was at first hesitant and then complied with it and me and my new mate were going to have to go through trials in order for us to be fully mated and he becomes Alpha. Which made me a little nervous because I heard that the trials were a gruesome thing to endure.
