Jax’s POV I stormed deeper into the woods. My boots crunched hard on the snow. Every step felt wrong as I walked away. Guilt burned in my chest. I had walked away from her. Anger swept through my veins. Yes, I had every right to leave her alone after everything. I risked my life to save her, and she just asked for space. She wanted to be alone.
