Raven’s POV
I yawned and stretched, fighting off the weakness that came with using my shadow power. The fight with the Lycan and the long ride through the snow had taken a very huge toll on me. I was glad we had overcome the Lycan and it had gone its way, but now I needed to sleep.
I looked at Jax and saw he was just as drained as I was. “I hope there's a big soft bed somewhere in this cabin."
Jax nodded. "There has to be."
His words came out slowly. Talking revealed just how exhausted he was.
"Let's check the room over there," I opened to the only room in the cabin that we hadn't gotten into.
“You can go ahead."
"What about you?"
"I'll around check the cabin fire. I want to make sure there are no more hiding monsters left in here."
