"Someplace where i'd get to keep you for myself," he said as he looked at her, before giving her a wink as he returned his focus to the way ahead. She stared at him unbelievably, snd hits his shoulder that made him cracks into muffled laughter. "I'm being serious Alaric!" "You're not Cinderella who has a timer on your sleeves right? So just enjoy the ride Cass. I'll take you back, i promise," he said as he gave her a ridiculous look. "Today, and alive Alaric," she said that made him chuckling once more. "Probably going to pass 12, but i won't keep you out all night, Cass. Don't worry. And i don't plan to kill a goddess," he answerd with his slanted smile. She exhales heavily, surrendering her fate to the man beside her. She looked out, seeing the scenery of the city at night from outside the window. The lovely melody from the radio echoes around the car, playing songs that she hummed, and even singed alone before even realizing it. Not long after, the car stopped in a middle of nowhere. As she stepped out of the car, cold breeze of houling wind greeted her. He lead her to the front part of the car, and she almost yelled in surprise as she suddenly lose grip of the ground. But he picked her up, just to sat her down on the hood of his car, and then the scenery takes her breathe away. The glimmering light from the city looks even more beautiful from the hills. The wind flows her hair, but she's hypnotized by the beauty of the scenery to even realise how cold the night air is. "Welcome to California," he said, looking at her before enjoying the scenery himself. Not long after, Alaric stand in front of her and offer her a hand. "Come on, time to go. Midnight air is bad for your health." She took his hand, and his other hand grips her waist, to help her down from the hood. They stand really close to one another as they once more shares a look. The night might be dark, but she could still see his hair slowly by the wind, making it no longer as tidy as it was. He seemed to be paying attantion to the same this as he pulled her hair out of her face to the back of her ears. Later then she realised that he had taken off his coat, and place it on her shoulders as he's fixing it, before guiding her back into the car. They're back on their way and he kept the radio on. For a moment, she just stare at him as he drives, until he noticed her stare, and turn to look at her for a slight. "What?" "Thank you," she said, giving him a soft smile that he returned. "Glad you enjoyed it," he replied before turning his focus once more to the road ahead. She later falls asleep, with her head leaned to the door from the position which she was staring out the window. ** He noticed how peaceful she looked when the wind was blowing, and she sees the city light from up the hill which he took her. He noticed how her eyes took the whole scene to memory. It had been late, and night wind exhaust you and make you feel sleepy. So when he noticed that her eyes already closed, he can't help but smile, and touch her head tenderly before reaching to your hand and kissed it slowly. "I miss having you as mine," he whispered slowly. But even as she'd been sleeping, she could hear it as she drafted deep into sleep, and to the realms of dreams.
