I never thought that I would do this. I mean, I always wanted to go on a trip alone but never knew I would actually go.
I waved my mom who was telling me something about mosquito spray. I really didn't pay much heed to her as I was too excited to focus on what's going to happen next.
After a long lecture on mosquitoes and food and personal hygiene and STD's and what not, I finally said: "Stop it, Mom, I'm just going for f*****g 11 days and 12 nights ." For which I obviously received a death stare for 5 seconds.
I gave her a quick hug and said my goodbye before she starts crying again.
I took a look at the bus. Everyone has their own company and I'm alone. I took a deep breath, my breath was a warm one, it tickled the base of my nose. My orbs scanned every seat and found one besides a girl. I went ahead to sit there but out of nowhere, she placed her bag on that seat with a dull thud. Okay, that was simply rude.
Now I had second thoughts about this trip altogether.
"Should I continue?"I asked myself.
When I was still battling in my insides about the trip and constantly tapping my left foot on the ground like I always do when I'm confused, a guy from the adjacent row got up and offered me his seat and he himself sat beside the rude girl. She was delighted as soon as she saw him and he grinned.
"Ugh!! I don't understand these hormonal kids. Ever " I mumble. Though I am of the same age it's always been a task to understand them.
" This is just the beginning, there's more to come " I prepare myself. And with these mixed feelings, I start my journey.
