He is so hot. I catch myself-thinking of him for way too long. My mother would have a fit if she knew I was to talk to a guy practically two years my senior. I am only sixteen and he just turned eighteen three days ago. We go to the same school. Still however I am known as a quiet girl, he is known by his reputation of being a total “bad boy.” He does what he wants, skips class, and has the attention of every girl at our school. His name is Chris. He has dark brown hair that almost looks black, clear deep green eyes, that mahogany scent that I cannot get enough of and a body that should be illegal for any high school student. My anxiety kicks in and then I think why me, what does he see in me? I am just some quiet junior student. Most of my peers would call me a nerd. While he is the most popular senior, that everyone drools over. Including the teachers. They seem to hang on his every word. Sitting in my math class, I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. Thinking it is my mother I do not even look at it. Focusing on what Ms. Jones is talking about, I casually doodle in my spiral. An office aide appears at the door and says quietly, “Ms. Jones, Emily is needed in the office.” Hmm... ‘why would I be needed in the office’ I think as I collect my stuff in my backpack. Whatever. I make my way to the office. Before I even get there, I get pulled into an empty room. Startled, looking into the direction where I got pulled, feeling my face turning red because I smell the most delicious thing ever. I see him, Chris. Freaking out mentally I say, “ I am needed in the office.” He laughs. Is he freaking serious? Why is he laughing at me? Then he says seriously, “why didn’t you text me back?” Confused, I take my phone out of my pocket and see a message from an unknown number saying, “Lets hang out later? – Chris” Smiling like a ridiculous child, I forgot that we are in the same room. Alone. Ha! Humiliated again, I feel my face turn red all over again. “How did you get my number?” I mumbled. He lifts my chin up with his finger. With that infamous smile of his and says, “so wanna hang out later?” “where” I say. “I will pick you up after football practice.” I just nodded my head as I pushed my hair from the front of my face. Then he leaves. I am so baffled, what just happened? He did not even answer my questions, just replied with another question for me to answer. Walking to the office I get there, and it is empty. Door locked, sign on the door saying staff meeting. Weird, I just walk to the girl’s bathroom instead of going back to class.
