Charlotte’s POV
Nora was in high spirits by the time we left the training grounds. She waved at William, who waved back, smiling.
I ruffled her hair as we made our way back to the house. “You’re enjoying your training, huh?” I asked.
She nodded. “It’s a lot of fun.” She flexed her biceps. “And I feel stronger already.”
Laughing, I pinched her arm. “Oh, wow! You do feel stronger. Careful, otherwise you might be able to beat up your dad soon.”
Nora giggled and grabbed my hand, pulling me along as she skipped ahead.
Kieran was at the top of the landing when we entered the house. I almost didn’t notice him at first because he was standing so still, but then he moved forward into the light, and I startled at the sight of him standing there.
