Maybe they couldn’t talk about the future, not really, or about what Dom really meant by his fake proposal that was far too much like a real one. Maybe Kiko couldn’t put forth the question whether they changed their minds, or made up their minds, or saw their paths converging here and never separating again. Maybe all they could voice were words of love. But Kiko could put everything he felt, every need he had, for Dom into this, touching and closeness, deep need.
