Usually, the first one to get up in the morning was Daniel, who hadn’t lost his habit of going out for a run, but lately, when he came back, he would find Alex already awake, drinking a cup of coffee and zapping through channels on the TV.
He didn’t think too much about what that could mean, because he didn’t want to delude himself.
They made small talk, drank coffee together, and then both of them went on with their routines. It was good, it was natural.
