Chapter 18: Trouble in Nova.

Midnight in Nova is usually beautiful. People still do whatever they want in the street. The mall still open, Everything is how they were meant to be.

From Friday to Sunday. People do whatever they can to enjoy their weekend. And due to that, The town is always lively with people.

And that's also a source of problem. Not everyone, Go outside in the night with the intention to enjoy the night. Sometimes, They just wanted to ruin people night.

In a fancy restaurant where only rich people came to enjoy a fine dining. The atmosphere is calm and fancy.

"Cheers to this wonderful evening!"

Said the man with fancy clothing. And in front of him is a woman with a fancy dress.

"Cheers!"

They started eating their food. Around them is also a fancy people having food with their loved one. Except for one person.

"Hey... That person look really weird..."

Said the woman. The man take a quick glance at the person she was talking about.

He managed to see that the person she was talking about is all alone in this fancy restaurant.

"That's weird. Why would people come here alone? The food here is crazy expensive. And why does he wear a mask."

The mask the person wearing is just covering their eyes. And the person wear a really fancy clothing despite being alone.

He take a sip of his red wine and swirl it around.

"Such a calm night..."

The masked man said.

After that, He quickly eat his food. He immediately ask for the bill and go out.

"Let's celebrate this calm night with some fireworks!"

As he said that, He bowed down to the building. Then he walked away.

He just walking lightly. Suddenly, The building explode.

"AAAAAAHHHH!!!"

Scream can be heard from anywhere. People were panicking and calling the fire department to take care of this situation.

The masked man just walking like he was talking a walk in the afternoon in the park. And he has a really terrifying smile on his face.

People who saw him, Get really spooked and run the opposite way he was heading.

It such a terrifying scene. The building collapse while being engulfed by flame at the same time. Killing almost everyone in the building. Those who survived from that didn't get to lived really long after that. The only thing that they said before finally engulfed in the flame is just a scream for help.

Such a terrible evening for those who went out to enjoy their time in the night.

The fire is really far from Million Years Academy. So, Dream and his group didn't know about that because they didn't get any notification from anyone. So they enjoy their good night sleep in their own room.

The next morning is when they got the news about that terrifying night.

"That's... Happened during our sleep?"

Lily said. She was shaking. She can't believe that tragedy happened during their sleep time. And Dream also received the same damaged as Lily.

"We have failed. For us to be called the future of humanity. How can we not sense that..."

Dream said while gritting his teeth. He was angry at himself.

"How can I let that happen..."

Dream keep blaming himself. It's not usual for Dream to feel like that.

"Dream, Don't take the blame by yourself. All of us should be blame. Not only you. Let us take some of that burden for you."

Ray said. The atmosphere in the room was really heavy. Until Elaine broke the Heaviness with some info.

"According to the locals. There's a suspicious man walking around while smiling. He wore a mask to hide his face. That man is suspected to be the culprit of this explosion."

Hearing that, Dream glared at the sketch of the man with a cold glint on his eyes.

"This man. I swore to kill him."

Hearing that, The rest of the group say the same. They swore to find the man and kill him for what he did.

"Now. The king has given us the task to catch the man. He want him Dead."

Elaine continued.

"So The king said that. That means that I'm free to roam around searching for him right?"

"Yeah."

Dream take another look of the man sketch and burned it into his memories. Until the man is dead, Dream can't forget the man.

"Listen. Our Opponent isn't from the Cult. It's seems like something more dangerous from the Cult is roaming around the city. I command all of you, To keep your eyes on every single suspicious movement you found. Got it?"

"Got it Miss!"

'Dangerous than the Cult? I can't let people like them roam around the city all they want. Yoga! Hid! Increase your awareness. If you catch something that I don't Let me know.'

'Aye master!'

'Understood.'

"Lily, Make sure that Gava also have his guard up."

"Hm? Why don't we let Gava, Yoga and who's one more?"

"Hid?"

"Yeah! Why don't we let all of them take a human form too. It's easier for them to speak to us too!"

Lily said. The other doesn't know what Dream and Lily talking about. Only Elaine that have any idea about Yoga and Gava. About Hid, Not even Elaine have that many information.

"I guess we could do that."

'Yoga, Hid. Can you guys take a human form?'

'Yes!'

'I'm sorry Master. I do not have the ability to manifest physical body yet.'

Hid seems like he can't manifest a body.

'It's okay. We can just communicate with Telepathy. Yoga, Come out!'

'Aye master!'

Dream and Lily look at each other and nodded. Instantly, A flash of light appear in front of them and blind the people around them.

A handsome man and a cute young girl appear right in front Dream and Lily.

"I have come Mistress."

"I'm here master!"

"Long time no see!"

Both Dream and Lily said. It's been a while since They let Yoga and Gava take a human form in the human world.

"Dream, Lily. Who are they?"

Ray ask. Dream Explain to Ray who's Yoga and Gava is.

"So they're your weapons?"

"Exactly."

Ray seems really confused about that. But, He doesn't ask any question. He knows that if he ask anymore question, He will only get more confused. So, It's a wise move to hands down in Dream and Lily matter.

"Gava, You know what to do right?"

"Yes Mistress. Raise my guard while Mistress and Her Lover and Friends have fun."

"Well, You got it right."

Hearing Lily saying that to Gava, Dream checks in to Yoga. Dream look at Yoga and Yoga nodded. It seems like she also remember the order.

"Well then, Let's go shall we?"

"OOU!"

They moved out from the Academy to the Mall to have their fun.

Dream lead the group with Ray. They were talking to each other. Ignoring their girlfriend.

"So Ray, You need new weapons right? How about We search it together?"

Dream said.

"Yeah. My Dual Swords broke during our last fight. So, I thought that I could buy a new one. You have any recommendation for the store?"

Ray ask. He remembered that Dream just smash his swords into pieces with his Chains.

"I know a place where they sell weapons. I don't know if there's something you like though..."

"Don't worry, I can use many weapons. I liked Dual Swords because it's cool."

"Oh Really? Then You don't need to worry."

Dream and Ray was talking about the weapons. Lily and Eis who heard that conversation, started talking about their plan out loud.

"Hey Lily~ What should we do? We have a lot of stores to go to."

"Right President~ We need a person who can bring our stuff back~"

Lily and Eis look at Dream and Ray. Dream and Ray look really confused.

"What?"

Dream said. He doesn't know why Lily was staring at him.

"Hey Dream~ You will hold our stuff for us right?"

Lily said. Dream become more confused by that.

"I mean, Of course I would. Why did you ask?"

After hearing Dream confirmation, Lily becomes happy.

"Noo~ Nothing~"

Dream look at Ray in confusion. They both shrugged their shoulder.

"Well, How about we go to the weapon store first? It would be bad if something attack us and Ray doesn't have any weapons right?"

Dream said. Everyone realize that there's danger roaming around Nova.

"Yeah. Sure!"

They instantly comes in agreement. So They head to a blacksmith to buy weapons.

On the way to the blacksmith, Dream talk to Yoga.

"Hey Yoga, What's the requirement to use Orb of Avaritia Ultimate Skills?"

Dream ask. He wanted to unlocked the next form so that he can become stronger. For Dream and Lily, They need to unlocked all 7 form of Yoga and Gava.

"If you want to use Orb of Avaritia Ultimate Skills You need to copy more skills from your opponent. It's hard to use the Ultimate Skills because you can only copy a magical skills. Not Physical Technique."

After hearing the Explanation from Yoga, Dream immediately looked down.

"So I need to fight more magical creatures huh... Ah... This is a pain..."

"Yes Master. It is a pain in the ass."

Yoga pat her master back.

Eventually, They arrived at the blacksmith. This Blacksmith is operated by one of the teacher in the Academy. It's the same place where Dream bought his weapon from before.

"Oh Welcome! What do you need?"

"Excuse me, Can I take a look of all the swords you have?"

"Ah Yes, Follow me!"

Ray follow the teacher. Dream and the others isn't going with Ray because They don't want to influence Ray choice. So, They decided to wait outside.

"So, What kind of sword are you looking for?"

The Teacher ask Ray.

"Hm... Can I get a long sword?"

"A long sword? What kind of longsword? One handed or two handed?"

"One handed!"

Ray seems like he has an idea of what he want to do. He wasn't looking for a short sword or a usual sword. He wanted the long sword.

"Here it is."

The Teacher take out 3 beautiful Long sword. All of them have a different color. Red, Green and Blue.

"Can you tell me more of the detail of the swords?"

"Alright. So This Red one is forged with an alloy made with Kaiunium and Starium. This particular sword is the strongest one if we're talking about raw power."

"Kaiunium and Starium huh. That's definitely the reason that this sword is the strongest. How about the other two?"

"Well, This Green one is forged with an alloy made with Starium and Rizonium. If you want a sword that light but really sharp, This one is the one."

"Well then, the last one."

"The Blue one is forged with an alloy made with Starium and White Steel. This one will grow stronger the more the user use it."

"Alright then. I will take all three of them!"

"Really?"

Hearing Ray buying all three of the sword, The Teacher immediately surprised.

"Yes!"

"Then that would be 30 Gold coin."

Ray took 30 gold coin from his bag. Which left him with 10 gold coin.

All of the long sword become a Weapon Core. The Weapon Core each have the same color as the weapon. Indicating which is which.

"Thank you sir!"

"Come back anytime!"

Ray left the store with a happy face.

"Yo Ray, You got it?"

"Yeah!"

"Alright then, Let's go resume our shopping."

Dream and Ray immediately follow the girls to their store. Their first stop is obviously a fashion store.

Dream and Ray was forced to choose the clothes by Lily and Eis. For 2 hours, They never leave the store.

July and Sylvie felt sorry for Dream and Ray. They already bought their clothes and now they're just supporting Dream and Ray.

"So this is why you ask me that question huh..."

Dream muttered. He felt like he lost to Lily.

Dream and Ray never thought that they would use their precious time getting pressured by their own girlfriend in a clothing store. Such a miserable experience.

Finally, After they done shopping for clothes, They went to a restaurant to let Dream and Ray sanity recover.

"By the way Ray, What kind of weapon do you buy?"

Dream finally can talk about the weapons with Ray.

"I bought 3 one handed long sword."

"3?! Isn't that too many?!"

Dream was surprised by Ray purchase. Ray look weirdly at Dream and said.

"It's not much. You also have 3 weapons don't you? So, Don't say something like that."

"Right. You like Dual Sword too. I forgot about that."

While they were talking about their weapon, Yoga notices something.

"Master, I notice a magic energy near us."

"Really? Where is it?"

Yoga pointed at the direction she felt the Magic Energy. She pointed on a particular table. There's an empty plate and a coins on the table.

"It's just a regular payment isn't it?"

Dream ask Yoga.

"No master. This magic energy, It's an Explosion Spells."

Yoga said calmly. Dream immediately raises his alert for his surrounding.

"How long before the spells activated?"

"12 more Hours. It's seems like this is how the explosion is triggered."

"Well then, Don't say anything to anyone yet."

Dream commanded Yoga to keep quiet.

"Dream Style: Stealthy Steps!"

Dream vanished from the table. He quickly grab all the coins on the table and change it to a normal coin from his own bag.

Lily stares at Dream. She seems like she panicked when Gava told her the situation.

Now that they have a clue for the culprit, They can start investigating from this coins.

They quickly eat their meal and went back to the Academy.

Dream called Elaine right away and all of them grouped up in the Student council room.

"So, Dream. What is the information you want to say?"

"So. Yoga notices a magic energy in the restaurant we're just ate. She said that this coins, is the source of the explosion."

Dream took out all the coins. When Eis and the other hearing that, They immediately shocked because they didn't know that there's a danger in the restaurant they're just ate in.

"Sorry for not telling you earlier. I did this so that the rest of the costumer there didn't freaked out."

"No no, It's alright. That's the correct thing to do!"

Dream said sorry for his action but, Ray said it's alright.

"Alright then. Good work! This Coins has been enhanced with an High Leveled Explosion Magic. So, The culprit is probably a high leveled magician. This is not a good thing for us. It's hard to search for a magician this level."

"Yes Miss. But, At least we have a clue to his identity. From my observation, They're probably a group of magician that wear mask. I don't know what kind of target they were searching. For now, We can only assume that the culprit is targeting restaurant where a lot of people are eating."

Dream said. Everyone seems to agree on Dream observation.

"Alright then. I will ask Eleanor to help us solve this. I will also ask for other Protectors Help."

Elaine said. Hearing that, Everyone seems to calm down for a bit.

"Now, Dream! Can you disarm this explosion?"

"Yes I can!"

"Well then. I will leave this coin to you."

"Yes!"

Dream grab all the coins. Yoga said that the Explosion will be triggered at midnight. So, There's still a plenty of time before it can kill anybody.

"What are you going to do master?"

Yoga ask. Dream smiled and immediately answer.

"I will surround the coin with water that I made with Leviathan Mark. Then, I use Orb of Avaritia to copy the Explosion Spell. That's a good strategy right?"

Dream said. Yoga was impressed by Dream way of thinking.

"That's good! I thought that you will just let it explode somewhere else..."

"Well, That's Plan B."

Dream already figured out what he was going to do with the Coins. So, He only need to wait for the coins to Explode.

Dream go to the Gym. He go there because there's no one using the Gym. Because a lot of people were training with Elaine, He is free to use the Gym for a couple of days.

So He waited there for midnight. He lay down on the floor and Let Yoga out.

"Yoga, Wake me up when it's dark."

"Aye master!"

Dream immediately sleep. Dream was sleeping right next to a time bomb. And Yoga job is to wake him up when the time for the bomb to explode is near.

2 Hours in, The sky started to become orange. It's lest than 6 hours for the Coins to Explode. Dream was fast asleep. Yoga is laying down right beside Dream.

"Haah... It's calm day isn't it..."

Yoga mumbled as she stares at the ceiling. Not too long after that, She forget Dream command and fell asleep.

Both of them sleep until the sky went completely dark. Hid, who realize that Yoga is asleep, Quickly, He tell Dream to wake up.

'Master! Wake up! It's already night!'

Hearing that in his mind, Dream immediately open his eyes in panic. He stared to the side and see Yoga sleeping.

Veins popped out from Dream forehead. He flick Yoga right in the forehead.

"OOOUUCCHHH!"

"Wake up i***t!"

"M-Master? Why did you do that for?!"

Yoga get teary immediately. Dream get annoyed after hearing that.

"We would die if Hid didn't wake me up! Didn't I told you to wake me up?!"

"AAAA! Sorry Master!"

Dream flick Yoga once again.

"Haah.. Now, Yoga. check the coins."

"Yes!"

Dream wait for Yoga to give the information.

"M-M-Master..."

Yoga said with a nervous voice. Dream heard Yoga voice is really quaky.

"The Coins is going to explode in 1 minutes."

"WHAT?!"

Dream panicked and immediately activate the Leviathan Mark. He also change Yoga to Orb of Avaritia.

He surrounded himself and the Coins with a wall of water. He move the Orb of Avaritia right in on top of the Coins. So that the explosion can be absorb by Orb of Avaritia.

"3. 2. 1."

BOOM!

A big explosion can be heard from the Gym. But, There's no smoke coming out. Only the sound that are heard. All of the explosion was absorbed by the Orb of Avaritia.

Not all the explosion was absorbed by Orb of Avaritia. The rest of it was absorbed by the Water wall that was surrounding The Coins.

"Yoga, You got it?"

Dream ask Yoga if she got the Spell or not.

'I got it Master!'

"Great. Now I didn't need to worried."

After obtaining a high leveled Explosion Spell, Dream was excited to use it. But, He wouldn't use it in the city. Since, There's a high chance that the explosion might kill somebody.

So, After that was taken care of, Dream doesn't have anything to do left. So, Dream decided to go eat and bathe. And to top it all of, He sleep again in his room.

In the alley way. Far away from the Academy.

"NO! NO! PLEASE, SPARE ME!"

A young woman groveling in the ground. Begging someone to let her live.

Slurp!

"You have seen too much woman. Be my food and shut your mouth!"

A figure of a man with a mask that covered upper half of his face can be seen. A sharp fang can be seen. The glint of his cold eyes froze the woman in the place.

"NO! NO!"

The woman try to fight back. The Masked man just calmly reach to her neck.

"No!..."

The woman eyes started to close. The man has choked the woman to death.

"Guhahaha! It's a feast!"

The man immediately buried his face to the neck of the woman. The fangs. Pierced through the skin. A blood spurting out like a fountain.

The man suck the blood dry out of the woman.

What left is just a corpse without any blood in it.

"What a Delicious meal!"

The masked man, Swing his hand. He grabbed his cape and pull it back. He then vanished into the shadows.

Once again. Another Threat appear in the Town of Nova.
