Chapter 10: Joining the pack

1720 Words
Annie drove us back to the pack home and I grew scared for the first time. I remembered what Jax had said about werewolves and how tough they were, they would hate me, I was lucky enough to have the psycho Jax actually like me as well as his awesome sister. When we arrived, I stared in awe as we drove through big golden gates down a dirt path. The place was huge, it was a mansion and the outside was all greenery and forest behind the building for miles. We headed inside the building and I blushed hotly to see the giant living room filled with over fifty werewolves all staring at me. They had clearly been waiting for my and Jax’s arrival. A male voice burst out laughing and said, “that’s the omega? f***k me, she looks like what she is, weak and pathetic.” “Shut the f***k up, Joe!” Jax snapped, clearly knowing who it was. I felt the air change in energy, fear filled the room and I saw the wolves look fearfully at Jax before quickly averting their eyes. They were terrified of him, which could only mean they knew what he enjoyed doing as well. A man who honestly didn’t look much older than Jax came over to us and I knew, I just knew he was the alpha, everything about him screamed alpha. He had Jax’s golden blonde hair and was built like some Damn Viking, clearly Jax got the muscular hot bod from dad. The alpha was wearing a long sleeved black thermal top that clung to his body tightly, showing off all that muscle, and he wore jeans and trainers. Without a word, he looked me up and down with dark blue eyes, and then grabbed my chin, turning my head from side to side, after he’d looked me over, he leaned in and sniffed me. I blushed hotly, I was used to the human world and had never been treated like this before by anyone. He stood back and nodded, “nice, she’ll do.” Talking to me directly in a deep voice, he said, “you don’t need to get a job, I’d rather you not be seen out and about alone too much by other wolves outside this pack, or they might just kill you.” He looked like he was thinking, and then said, “you can cook, clean and take care of everyone’s needs in return for being allowed to stay with this pack. Is that fair, omega?” I nodded quietly and wisely didn’t make eye contact. “Good, you can take over from Sheila, our submissive wolf, she’s washing up in the kitchen, Jax show her where to go.” Jax rolled his eyes, but led me out to where the kitchen was. Sheila was beautiful, she had wavy red hair that ran down to her slender waist, she was so slim and slender her body reminded me of a wolf’s slender frame, her skin was white as snow, and when she turned to look up at us, she had stunning dark green emerald eyes and naturally red lips. “Oh, hello Jax,” she smiled shyly at him and I saw the blush creep up on her cheeks. I noticed she didn’t make eye contact and kept her head bowed in respect, crap, was I supposed to be doing that? Jax went over and grabbed her in to a hug, “hey beautiful, you don’t need to keep your head down, we’ve been too intimate for that these days, haven’t we?” He winked, and she blushed harder. I wondered if she were one of the females he had dominated in the bedroom. He let her go, and I turned to see a sexy as hell wolf walk into the room. He looked like a God, he had an almost identical face to Jax, full Cupid bow lips, almond shaped eyes, and a sculpted and chiseled face (think Henry cavils chiseled jawline, they all had that), with a button nose, but everything else was different, his eyes were a stunning Hazel, to the point they almost looked like the wolf’s gold color. There were hints of green in there, and he did have the same flecks of gold running through them like Jax did, but he didn’t have the gold rim around them. He looked powerful and muscular in an athletic way and not that awful body builder style, and his muscles bulged and strained against his white t-shirt, he wore black sweatpants with it and his feet were bare. He had the same tousled messy hair that Jax had, but his was more of a golden brown than blonde, he was the same height as Jax too, at around 6,2. “Fenris, you’re actually showing your face, you miserable f***k,” Jax grinned. Fenris looked annoyed, but Jax didn’t care and grabbed him into a playful headlock. “Jax, quit it!” Fenris didn’t make any attempt to escape at first, but when Jax ignored him he fought back, it wasn’t long before he got free and had Jax on the floor who was laughing so hard I worried he might pass out. Another male came in, and he also had an identical face to these two, except his eyes were a dark blue with the same flecks of gold running through that they all seemed to share. His body was just as muscular and powerful looking, and his hair was also the darkest, it was a warm brown here, but I knew it was that kind of tone where in the right light it would show hints of a golden undertone. It fell into his eyes sexily like the other two, and I found myself blushing among these wolf gods, Pfft, it was probably why their parents had given them the names they had. “Jax!” He pulled Jax to his feet and hugged him. “Missed you bro, f***k any crazies in the hospital?” Jax rolled his eyes, and said, “Romulus, do you ever not think about s**x?” Romulus shrugged, and grinning answered, “no.” He went over to Sheila, and with a dark look in his eyes, he said, “get on your knees for me, love.” She instantly dropped to her knees with her head bowed, and he grinned at Jax, “I love it when they do that.” Jax pushed him away from Sheila and helped her to her feet. “Quit being a perv, you got a girlfriend, go f***k her.” “I will later.” Romulus turned and saw me standing there and made his way over to me. He looked me over disapprovingly, and asked, “you couldn’t have gotten us a hot omega?” “She is, I like her,” Jax grinned. Romulus frowned at him. “Brother, you have no standards. She’s fat and ugly as f.uck.” Jax gave him a look that had Romulus immediately shut up, and said, “you have a girlfriend, focus on her, you f.ucking vain p.rick.” “Whatever, omega girl is all yours, bro.” He actually shoved past me, making me stumble as he left the room. He sooo did not like me, so much for a romantic, Pfft. Fenris was watching us all like we were morons and grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge, he all but stormed from the room. Jax kissed Sheila on the cheek, and said, “go rest or something, Rose is going to take over for you.” Sheila looked at me in surprise, then smiled shyly before leaving the room. As she passed me by, she touched my hand lightly with hers, like some form of reassurance it would be alright. I liked her. “You ok doing this?” Jax asked. I nodded, and pulled on the washing up gloves and got to work. He left me alone after a while and anxiety hit me every time a wolf came into the kitchen for something, without Jax there to look out for me, I didn’t know what would happen. I had washed up, cooked for everyone and then washed up again after they had eaten, the alpha surprised me by offering me a plate of food too, and I ate it gratefully before getting back to work. When I was done, my feet were killing me, and the alpha had Fenris come out of his room to show me to mine. I felt so awkward as he seemed super p.issed at being made to do it, but he didn’t say anything mean to me. I followed him up the stairs to the third floor. We stopped at the door at the very end, and he opened it up and went inside. Some other doors had been open, and I had seen how massive and glamorous the rooms were, my one was small, but not too bad. The most annoying thing about it was that it was dusty. It had nothing except a small single bed, drawers and a beige carpet. Fenris spoke to me for the first time and whereas his brothers had very deep voices, his was both deep and husky. “Sorry it’s kind of dusty and messy, we haven’t used it for a few years and dad wants you in this room.” “That’s ok, thank you,” I smiled shyly and walked inside. He didn’t smile, but he did nod, and quietly closed the door behind him. I sat down on the bed and a gust of dust flew up, making me cough and splutter. I got up and tried my best to shake the dust out, but when I slept that night it wasn’t comfortably, I coughed and sneezed continuously until my throat felt sore. I hadn’t shown anyone my real personality yet, not even Jax. I acted sullen and quiet, but it wasn’t the personality for my omega self. I had always been silly, playful, and clumsy, always craved being looked after and protected, but mother and father beat that out of me until I learned to hide it and behave more mature and sensible, though I’d never quite managed to stop the clumsiness.
