I was beyond exhausted. My body hurt from the uncomfortable motel bed I lay on last night. I was sleep deprived and all I wanted was to curl up into a ball in my bathtub while immersed in warm water, and cry inconsolably alone for the next few hours and then climb into my bed and sleep for the rest of the day.
And here was Nathan, about to get in the way of my carefully planned day. “Go away Nathan,” I muttered as I kicked off my conversation before proceeding to shrug off my jacket.
