A Bold Move Jessica and Max spent the next few days gathering their strength and making a plan. They knew that taking down James wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to see it through. As they left the police station, Jessica felt a sense of hope that she hadn't felt in years. They were finally taking action, finally fighting back against the man who had held her captive for so long. But as they walked back to their car, Jessica couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She looked around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. "Max, I think we're being followed," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Max's eyes scanned the surrounding area, his expression serious. "Let's get out of here," he said. "Now.”
