Chapter 23
I double checked the flight details on the arrivals and departures screen. Plenty of time. Taking a deep breath, I slowed my stride. I passed through security without a hitch then made my way to the gate and took a seat at the end of the row. A few other people sat scattered around the waiting area, small suitcases and other hand luggage placed on vacant seats like barriers between them.
I had no luggage, not even a handbag. I placed my phone and a small round Bluetooth speaker on my lap then patted the pocket of my new favourite dress to confirm my car keys were still there.
