Chapter 9 The band was in full swing when we entered the club. We paid the cover charge and stepped through the velvet-edged entrance into the dimly lit room. Arriving with George made it feel more like a date. But it wasn’t. “Wanna grab a drink before the lesson?” George asked. I nodded and followed him to the bar. A cider might drown the butterflies in my stomach. They still hadn’t realised that this wasn’t a date. We carried our drinks over to the same table we’d sat at last time.
