CHAPTER XIX: THE PALACE

“What?!”   

My shock seems to have tickled him as the amused expression on his face brightened even more.

"Oh it hasn't been announced yet but Im not doing this just to witness your lovely expressions however i cant lie , it is a sight to behold" he said with not a tinge of shame.

I did not respond immediately the information swirling in my head.

"three months?! then I will be stuck here for much longer than I thought"

 My thoughts were broken when he reach his hand towards my face and slowly he bent lower

"What is this right now? His shamelessness knows no bounds!" 

Despite saying that, my body did not move away from him."When did something like this become a norm to me?"

"Bei Wei , it is time to turn in for the night, if you stay much longer on the bath you might catch a cold" the clueless voice of Ling Hua snapped me out of my stupor.

"I have become weak!" 

After smacking my head on an imaginary wall, I cleared my throat to give Ling Hua a response.

"Thank you Ling Hua"

after hearing my voice, her footsteps retreated and when I returned my attention to the man who was supposed to be standing infront of me was out of sight.

"He's gone?"

It was unreasonable but as it registered on me it was too late. I felt an unknown pang within my chest.I must have caught a cold just as Ling Hua warned. However I know that what Im feeling is far from one.

"If it is a cold, it shouldn't last long" 

 That was what I thought that time, and only fate knew how wrong that was.
