CHAPTER XVIII: HER

“It was simply a coincidence, however if the young miss would like to think something else about this matter then I am obliged to think so as well” I  narrowed my eyes at his approaching figure.

“This man! ”  I tried to get away from him but my circumstance puts me at a huge disadvantage .

As I was about to retort  a gust of wind chilled my wet skin and a hand shot at my face to cover my mouth.At the shock , I struggled to break free from his hold but the sound of footsteps just above our heads made me stop.

“What is happening, another intruder?” I narrowed my eyes at him to convey my meaning, but the smirking man just smiled at me .

“Shameless!”

When the footsteps vanished and he still didn’t remove his hand I used just enough force to bite his palm. At the sudden attack he withdrew his hand like a rabid animal just took  a chunk from it.

“Ahhh the satisfaction of revenge”

“I did not see that coming from such lovely mouth” he said while staring at me intently.

“I could have you executed for attacking the crown prince” he added

“But you wouldn’t” I threw back at him

“And what makes you so sure of that?” he said this with a predatory look in his eyes

 But I was never a coward who backs away in a fight.

“Then you would be known as the crown prince who sneaks up on bathing women” I raised my brow at him tilting my head up

He snickered at this and walked to the window.

“Who was that awhile ago?” I asked

“An assassin ” he simply said

I became quiet and pondered for the possibilities and what this entails. I was deep in my thoughts when he spoke again.

“No need to worry my lady no harm will come to you as long as you stick with me” he winked at the end of his statement. He was not even shameful , not a little bit.

“I wouldn’t trouble you your highness, afterall I will be home by the next test” I smugly said at him but  the laugh that came out of his mouth sent an ominous feeling.

“Then it will be long before you get rid of my presence , the next test is to be held three months from now” at this a triumphant smile was irritatingly radiant on his face.

“What?!”
