“Gymnasium at 4 in the afternoon.” I received a text message from Claude.
I walked straight to gym and waited for the time to pass. I scribbled some notes and wrote some poems.
One thing about me is that I love writing poems whenever my mind is occupied about something. It is my form of relaxation.
Humming, I took out a piece of paper and pen. As I glanced on my watch, it is three forty five. I lay down on the bench, and started writing.
‘’I don’t have the nicest words to say
That could maybe make you stay.
I stood there by the bench,
Frozen as my fists are clenched.
I watched you go as the lights turn green,
Even when it was red you didnt stop going,
I was the only yellow in the street
Stuck between moving, or waiting
And I should be the first one running away,
When I knew I wasnt the only one you’re talking,
But all I can do is just to be mad all day.
And believe you again like its nothing.
I paid for the price,
This is what you get when you love even the lies.
Im paying, every night I cry,
In my sheets I die
We we broken once, twice, God knows how many times.
I loved you once, twice, and I know in my all lifelines.
And I hope someday, somehow, Ill be alright.
With you by my side, or not, I hope I can still fight. ‘’
“Hey” He dropped his bag beside me and sat down. He gave me a soft smile before he turned his orbs on my poem.
I immediately folded my paper and put it on my bag.
“So you write poems? Don’t worry I didn’t see the words. I just think it is a poem looking at the spacings per paragraph.” Smiling, he fixed his uniform and unbuttoned the top button.
“Any news about the assignment?” I shifted the subject.
“Oh. Yeah. That is why I called you.” He scanned the area first before he started talking. “They will be dropping the bomb tomorrow in the news.”
“News? As in television? They are making it public?” I was kind of shocked. I uncovered that secret.
“Yes. Remember the goal of this project? It is to take down Addilyn University. Not just the people who makes this university a dirty society but the university itself.”
I arched my eyebrow in confusion even though I know that is the goal. It was said to us before we started this mission.
“The owner of this university reeks evilness. Behind this prestige, are the tangled lies he mended to protect himself from all his shitty doings.” His eyes were stern. “That bastard. He owes me one.”
Confused, I searched for his orbs to meet mine. “What do you mean?”
“Nothing.” He stood up and gave me his trademark. That soft smile. “I’ll be going now. I got some errands to do. Take your rest and watch the news tomorrow.”
He turned his back at me and started walking away.
“I don’t know where you are going but take care.”
He looked back at me. “ Thank you for making the world a better place.” He laughed as he disappeared from my sight.

After fifteen more minutes of having a staring contest with the ceiling of this gym, I stood up and packed my things.
I have plans with Grey. That spoiled brat.
I hurried down the stairs and find my way to the university gates.
Cars were arriving, students are going home, their personal guards assisting them, and here I am, saving the world - as what Claude said.
“Partner.” I saw Grey walking towards me. The first thing I saw was his smile. He is wearing a gray slacks, topped with a black turtle neck, his hair were fixed with wax, I can tell. From how he styled up today, I can see his facial features clearly.
“So, where are you taking me?”
“Not as fancy as The Vineyard but something more comfortable”
“We can eat at the Glider’s you know. Anywhere there is food.” I told him but he shook his head.
“Okay, lead the way.” I bowed down and make way for him.
“Sweetest.” He chuckled.
As we went outside the gates, there is a black car waiting for us. Standing beside it is a guard on his uniform, he went straight to us then bowed.
“Good afternoon Sir Grey.” He then moved his way to me then did the same. “Good afternoon Maam”
Grey tapped his back. “Enough with the formalities, Drake. Take us there.”
Drake nodded in agreement. He escorted me to the car, opened the door and assisted me all the way.
“I thought it’s not as fancy as The Vineyard.” I tilted my head in his direction.
He moved closer to me. “It’s not. Believe me.”
Confused. I just said okay.
After twenty minutes we arrived in front of a black building. Estimating the floors, I think it has twenty or more floors.
Drake opened the doors for us, then made his way inside the car and parked.
“Welcome to Mitchell’s” He stopped the man in the door who is supposed to open the entrance door for us. Instead, he did it for me.
We went straight to the elevator. The woman inside tapped the last floor.
I waited for the elevator to stop. My heart is pounding in confusion.
“Chill.” Grey poked my back.
“I am. I am just like this whenever I don’t know where I am going.”
As the elevator dings, the door opened and I found myself at the top of the building.
My face cannot hide its amazement. I started sprinting to the edge of the building. Call me a kid but I’ve never been to a place like this.
I can see the night lights of the city. The busy highway filled with cars. The stars above the sky, and the coldness of the air.
Scanning this whole area, there is a mobile bar located beside the elevator, tables were everywhere and the music is loud. People were dancing, talking, making out, everything, under this cold night. Which to me, looks perfectly fine.
“See? Not as fancy as The Vineyard. No violin for the background music. No waiters dressed in white. “
“Hey this is perfect” I closed my eyes and inhale the air. God, I need this.
He sighed in content. “I’m happy you like it.”
