GrowthWhen we had recovered from the battle, Andarta gathered me, Delsaran, and Hayyan together in her home. It was a small home, and the only decorations were trees grown into remarkably expressive statues; the curved trunks twirled as though they were frozen mid-dance. A table filled the middle of the room. Hayyan set out tea around it, and we sat. “You need to know everything we’ve found out about the nightbringers if you’re hunting them,” Andarta said. “Unfortunately, nightbringers are creatures of arcane, bookworm magic, and most of that is beyond me.” She didn’t say bookworm with disdain, exactly.
