Chapter 6 - JR's Dedication

Six months has passed since the death of Mary Ann. I haven't met Kersh since then. I've been trying to research about the mystery of time but I guess, finding it is as hard as knowing the truth behind God and Life. How come that the idea of Time Traveling has been passed down from century to another yet no one has the real answer from it.

It is always happen because of a mysterious thing or by the power of the ancient gods. There must be a scientific reason about this.

I am always pragmatic with my decision and beliefs, however I don't know why I believe in Kersh. What's with that guy?! At that time, I just carelessly say that he might be a guy who leap through time but I never knew that he really did. Based on his explanations and evidences like how some of the events will happen, and they did really happened. Natural Disasters, Death of a known person, National News and something that no one can predict.

Even with the use of algorithm, you cannot predict such an accurate future. However I'm not sure if some of his stories about the future will still happen. One of it is his relationship with Mary Ann. Now that she died, Kersh decided to get a job. From my Intel, he was employed on a local news company here in Leyte.

He never had such experience. I have my worries. He might write some articles he knows about the future. This will drastically affects the present time. He will destroy his future.

Social Media News is a different matter. It attracts more people. If someone found him suspicious, he might endanger his life.

I guess I'm part of his sin. If I just didn't say those words and just said to him to reenact, he will surely spend his time with Mary Ann today.

I make mistake with Mary Ann so I have to become strong for Kersh's family. I think this is not all about Sarah.

I've been observing her mother and sister since that day. Based on how he describe his life and past, her mother is working in a bank while her sister attends school. He also said that those time, when no one is in their house is when his father brings his side chicks. His mother is a hardworking person. Though she looks young for her age.

She was 18 when she married to Kersh's father. Kersh's father was 28 at that time.

Aunt Norma seems to be quiet person but the truth is, she's been taking drugs. I learned it when I followed her. That's when I saw her buying some illegal drugs.

I guess she always knew that her husband is cheating on her, and Kersh thought that her mother didn't know about this.

What shocking is that Jyna is aware of this? I saw Jyna that day. She was hiding in a corner when she saw her lovely mother buying some illegal drugs. I can see how broke her heart and mind when she saw it.

Looks like Jyna didn't tell the whole reason why their mother died. Kersh's said that her mother died from an unknown disease. Kersh was in Metro Manila at that time and couldn't go back in time. Only Jyna was in the house and a girl like her can't take to see her parents acting like this.

Her father brings women whether Jyna is still in there or not. Her mother is secretly taking some drugs. His brother run away and leave her all alone. This is a messed up family. No one is in her side. I doubt if Kersh can handle this truth. But I have to at least inform him.

It is hard to tell this, with his current situation. His first girlfriend died. Their past memories slowly eat his mind.

Honestly I doubted that Mary Ann cheated on him. There must be a reason. Kersh said that he saw Bryan and Mary Ann on the act in Mary Ann's room. However why such thing happen?

Based on the police officer, the sketch of the r****t is somehow portray Bryan. Mary Ann's grandmother doesn't know the name of the guy but she said that she knows that the guy is Mary Ann's friend. I think Kersh have already suspected Bryan and have information about this, and gathering information is easy for him now that he works in a news company.

What if Bryan did the same thing to Mary Ann in Kersh's past and did the same thing again. It seems it happened a bit earlier than expected. Though in three years, Bryan must done something that made Mary Ann say yes and let him do it to her.

Should I tell this to Kersh? Knowing him, he must still have a grudge on Bryan. He might kill Bryan. He joined the local news company for this sake, for his own sanity.

I don't think that anyone can handle such an event when you have to choose between the person you used to love and the person you married.

But I don't know if this is a bad thing or not. Kersh changing his past must mean something. I think I have the idea on why he came back to the past. Not just to save his family but for now I must do whatever I can.

"Daddy this is me, Jinko. I would like to ask about some papers about Time Paradox and related studies. Our professor assigned us to make an essay about a topic that even Science still can't explain. I plan to use Time Traveling because I also like the Topic. Thank you Father!" I called my father who is in Japan to gather information. After calling my father, I went to the Local Library. I was trying to search for articles about Time Traveling but then I saw Jyna. I followed her.

I didn't expect what I saw. I never thought of that. I left after that. Should I say this to Kersh? I don't know if he will talk to me. After what happened to him. Besides I haven't spoken a single word with him.

Maybe I should focus on what I can do today and worry later. "Let's see."

In Kersh's Timeline, he lived in year 2018. And he was 32 years old. My reason why I don't think that this is all about her wife and children is because, he time travel after the incident. I mean 5 years later.

What happened between those years? And why wait for 5 years? He spoke of a strange man. Who was it? Based on what he said, the technology and science still haven't improve much, so I don't think that it is a man who built a device that can travel through time.

But it is still possible, a man even a head of his time. Maybe in 10 years from 2018, there would be a device. No one knows. Things can happen, so it is possible. If that Strange Man has power, he must have a reason when he send Kersh back in 2006, instead of 2012 or a month before the Yolanda.

As I examined his story, I think he came back for Mary Ann, his mother, his sister, and his father, not just for Sarah and his children.

His relationship with Mary Ann has bitter end. He didn't even tried to confront it. Maybe that is one of the reason. Next is his mother, he said that her mother died from illness. But with what I know, don't think that it is a simple disease. She might overdose herself and that is possibility. His sister, Jyna, I'm sad for her, she hide this even to her family. Then his father, there must be a reason why he acted like that. But what is it? Why Robert seems to not care for Norma.

Norma is a beautiful woman, why Robert ignores her. Did Norma do something before to Robert? But still Cheating and playing with girl's heart is not tolerable.

If he is one of the reason, the purpose would be for Kersh to reconcile with Robert. The biggest problem and the one who really needs help is Kersh himself.

If I'm correct with my reasoning, he will search for Bryan. I must be able to anticipate his action. And because Bryan is a friend, Kersh will be hesitant, I know he won't kill him but for safety, I must do something. From what I heard from the police officer who came earlier in Mary Ann's house when I was seeking around her room is that they found Bryan.

The police officer already had a warrant of arrest for Bryan. I know that Kersh is also investigating. I'm afraid that this case may endanger his life. Should I talk to him or not? In psychology, if you said to man to not to do something, they will do the opposite. I must think before I act.

I already have the idea of Kersh's personality and how I should speak in him however, this situation is crucial. He is emotional unstable so if I interrupt, he might lose his sanity again.

Why is he such a baby, and why I have to become so careful with my actions around him. I never met a delicate person like him. His like a fragile plate.

So here are my Objectives, first is to make sure that Kersh won't kill Bryan. Second is to observe Norma and Jyna. If by chance that they are in danger, I must help them. Then I must be careful around Robert. He is someone I can't trust. Lastly is to make sure that Sarah won't meet Kersh. I mean, they supposed to meet in 5 years, so meeting her here by chance may change something.

I don't know what Sarah looks like. Kersh mentioned that Sarah don't usually talk about her past, so there is a possibility that Sarah may went to Leyte for a vacation or school tour. That is still a possibility. If not here in Leyte, maybe somewhere in the Philippines. They must not meet or this will be the end.

Is this really a bad thing? I mean there's a chance that if he met Sarah right away and she fall in love with Kersh, he would focus on her and building up their relationship. But I still need to analyze this thoroughly before I decide. I just hope that nothing bad will happen to him.

Be careful Kersh, don't be devour in the void of madness. Never follow the dark path. You must need to keep yourself sane. I'll make sure that I can help you, the time we meet again. For now, we are on our own.
