Summer followed the group closely, fearing she’d get lost. They had taken a couple of steps downwards to an opening where the vineyard was. Some people pruned the vines, some picked the grapes. They were wearing black overalls with gloves and paid them no mind. They were obviously used to it. Summer marvelled at the structure of the wine yard. It was land with terraces of plants that appeared as steps. It twisted and turned in a beautiful pattern, telling of years of care and expertise. Christopher, their guide was going on about the process of wine making. She’d zoned out at some point, but interestingly, Adam was paying rapt attention, sucked into every word that proceeded out of the mouth of Christopher.
