Chapter 14

399 Words
[Saturday] Over the past couple days, me and my friends hung out all the time. I tried to call Alex several times, but yet again it goes straight to voicemail. I’m going back today, in time for the full moon. It was sad to leave my friends, but I know that Alex needs me, especially tonight. “It’s been really nice to see all of you. I will definitely keep in touch with you guys” I said as I walked out of their house. When I got to the train station, it was closed. I quickly searched it up and saw that the no trains were running. “f**k!” I cursed. Quickly checking the time, I realised I had about 2 hours to get back. I spent about 40 minutes trying to see if I could take any buses back and then another 20 minutes ordering and waiting for a taxi. I took a deep breath, I should make it just about. [Alex] After going out on Wednesday, I decided it was best to just stay in my room because my emotions were clearly heightened without Serena and so close to the moon. My phone was still broken so I haven’t even been able to hear my beautiful mate’s voice. The moon was getting closer and she still wasn’t here. We had about 20 minutes before we would be forced to change so the pack all joined each other in the dining room. *Where is mate? She might be harmed. I’ll kill anyone who hurts her* Ryder roared in my head and put me more on edge. As if sensing my frustration my mum pulled me into a hug saying “she’ll be here.” “I hope so. I’m never letting her leave me again” I muttered. There wasn’t much time left. [Serena] There is so much traffic. I probably only have 10 minutes left on this journey, but I think I’m too late and I dread to think what is happening now. [Alex] The change is taking over. Without Serena here it was unbearable. I felt each bone break and reform. It probably took about 5 minutes. What is Ryder going to do without Serena? Slowly he took over.
