When we arrived back at the pack house, everyone was waiting for us outside, waiting to perform the ritual of burial. Most of them were in their wolf form apart from those who were selected to carry the bodies. As I felt Serena start to get off of me I growled lightly and she stayed. I have to be strong for the pack, but I don’t think I can do it without Serena. I mind linked the entire pack instructions and we were off into the woods. I decided the clearing that my parents met was a suitable place to bury them. As alpha I had to dig the hole, but I decided all pack members would have a go. I crouched lightly so Serena could get off, looking slightly confused. I then used my claws to dig a big hole. With a slight whimper I returned to my mate and allowed the pack to do the honour
