Chapter 2: Gone

"Is this true?" Iris asked still unbelievable.

Rose look at her sisters and smile while nodding that cause an alarm with them. They start screaming except for Lucinda who didn't think that it was a big thing and for Micaella who is still upstairs but secretly listening. She jumped in excitement and joy.

"This is it! This is what we've been waiting for! Finally, after so many years..." Rose exclaimed and start daydreaming about her and the Alpha who is bonding in her mind.

"I can't believe that the Alpha itself will invite us! Now I have a chance to meet him!" Davita says in excitement.

"Uh, shouldn't I be reminded everyone of you about father? He said that we must not go to the Kingdom without his permission. We need to wait for him to come back, aren't we?" Lucinda suddenly barge in to make them stop with their emotions.

"Tch! Lucinda? Stop being naive! Don't be a kill joy, you're ruining our hope," Adira said so that made Lucinda think about her words for a second. "We're having a moment here!"

"Oh, sorry about that." She apologize then go upstairs to see Micaella, when the youngest hear her footsteps, she immediately go back to her room and cover herself a blanket.

"Micaella?" Lucinda called her while knocking her door opened. "Come down and eat."

Micaella removed the blanket that was covering her and turned to Lucinda with a sigh. She lazily got up from the bed to face Lucinda who was already sitting at the end of her bed. Lucinda knew why Micaella was acting like that and that's why she approached her to hug her.

"How about Rose?" Micaella asked worried about her older sister might be angry to her.

Lucinda patted her youngest sister on the back. "Shhh... Are you not used to Rose? She is just like that when she is not obeyed but she is not angry. So, get up and eat."

"Really, Lucy?" she received a nod from her sister as her answer.

"In fact, do you know that she is the one who wants to invite you to eat? Because Rose can't stand you. Remember?"

"Sister may be angry but the trust is, they just get worry," they spoke at the same time causing them to laugh.

"So, let's go?" Lucinda said.

Micaella nodded smiling. "Mmm, let's go!"

After the two of them got off, their five other sisters were already waiting for them.

"It took you a while to persuade our youngest sister, Lucinda," Brielle teased.

"How about that? Rose's bump is so big that I really have to help her just to get off," Lucinda replied, riding Brielle's joke.

"Aish, that's enough," Davita whined.

"But first, did you get your lesson, Micaella?" Rose asked intimidating that made her other sisters quiet. "Remember what I told you..."

"Yes, Sister. I'm sorry for being stubborn."

Then they agreed again and shared dinner. While eating, Adira couldn't stop thinking about the invitation they received earlier.

"Uh, what are we going to do to that invitation?" Adira asked that made Rose stop eating and stare at her blankly.

"Well? We could all go there and meet the Alpha?" Iris suggested.

"You know what? I've been thinking about that for a while now. Although, Iris has a point, but I'm just worried if we all go..." Rose says thinking what might happen bad to them.

"Why not?" Lucinda middle in. "The invitation said, all women are invited so that means, we can all come. Besides that, Father works there as well so I can't think of any reason why you are having second thoughts about all of us going. Am I, right?"

As the wisest of their siblings, Rose knew she had nothing against what Lucinda said. As expected, everyone agreed with her also.

"I'm excited to him! What can Alpha look like? Others say that it has a very muscular body and a beautiful face," Brielle says imagining the structure of Alpha Noah.

After they ate, they cleaned up one by one before going to each room. That's what they're used to, resting when it's dark around. And as an older sister, Rose is in charge of checking her other siblings if they are already in the room.

It was late at night, but Rose still couldn't get the invitation out of her mind. She couldn't tell her sisters that they used to be friends with Alpha when they were kids and that she had known him for a long time. Every time Rose remembers how excited her other siblings are, she feels annoyed because Rose has a secret crush on Noah and even ventures that they might be together one day. Therefore, she decided to go alone.

She packs her things quietly and sneak out of the house. Little did she know, that her youngest sister, Micaella have a strong feeling of what she did. So, when Micaella check Rose on her room, she's already gone.

Micaella got worried about Rose that she also left the house and followed her sister.

In the next day, when everybody was awake, five of them are surprise to see that Rose and Micaella were not in their rooms. Lucinda search Rose things and find out that it was gone. It suddenly occurred to her that her sister might leave without a word and as for Rose, she followed her which is exactly what happened. Others began to worry, wondering that something bad could happen to their siblings, especially to Micaella who they know is careless.

"Aish! What was Rose thinking? Why did she suddenly leave? It's so annoying!" Davita says in frustration. "What are we going to do?"

"Wait..." Lucinda answer her.

"Huh?"

"Wait. We must wait here at our home. It is dangerous for us to follow them and we might even perish. That's what they should have done, the party is still long so there's no reason for us to leave right away," Lucinda explain to her sisters.

They were silent.

"Are you sure?" Adira asked.

"Definitely!" Lucinda say so. "Who knows? Maybe tomorrow or one day, Father will come home to tell us about the party that will be held at the palace? He will be mad if we are nowhere to be found. So, we stay here..."

As for the other sisters, Lucinda became the eldest even though she's only a middle sister because of her mature mind. They follow her and didn't bother to talk about their sisters or the invitation for the party.

But fate is really playful, at night while they are all sleeping soundly when Davita suddenly wakes up because of a bad dream. It's about Rose and Micaella who perished on the way to the palace, she was nervous and scared even though it was just a dream but she had a strong hunch that something had happened. Adira entered her room just in time to check on her because she heard her from the other room.

"I had a bad feeling about our sisters, Adira..." Davita started shaking in fears.

"Why? Is there anything happens?"

"I dreamed they were caught by guards who looked like monsters. They have fangs and a fur! They aren't like us," Davita shared.

"Don't worry, it's just a dream. I'm sure, Rose and Micaella are okay and on good hands," Adira appeasement.

But Davita didn't calm down instead, she was conundrum and over thinking about what she had dream about. She peeked out the window to look outside but all she noticed was a normal night. The surroundings are quiet and only the moon serves as light in the environment. Nothing's strange but her feelings won't change.

"Adira... let's find them. Maybe they need our help, Father will be angry with us if he finds out that we just let them away," Davita says.

"What about the others? Lucinda—"

"Lucinda is still here, she can keep them safe in case anything happens. I am more concerned about Rose and Micaella..."

Adira sighs in defeat. "Fine. Let's go."
