Alpha's Check Mate

Chapter 1: Invitation

Outside the kingdom, there are seven sisters who live in harmony. They have no neighbor but their surroundings are beautiful having a clear lake and a bunch of trees where they can enjoy the scenery. All of them are the daughter of Blake Milley who is the trusted man of Alpha Noah, after ten years, their mother became ill and die in peace.

And there was Rose, who is the eldest sister among them which is followed by Davita and Adira. The middle one is Lucinda, next is Iris and Brielle while the youngest was named Micaella. When their mother died, their father Blake take them away the kingdom and buy a new house outside of it.

"Micaella! Wake up!" Rose screams.

It's almost seven in the morning and their routine was to eat 6:30 but Micaella is already late and she's a deep sleeper. Davita was already done watering the plants around their house while Adira were washing the dishes with the help of Iris. Lucinda is their carpenter and she's fixing the chair of Brielle.

"Arrghhh..." Micaella moans and Rose hear it.

"Oh please, Micaella? You have to be responsible for yourself. Father already warned you for staying late at night," Rose preached every words from their father.

"Oh come on, can't you just let me sleep? I'm not hungry!" she howl in a low tone.

"It's not my fault that you're not hungry, the food is getting cold. Waiting for food is bad," Rose reminded her for the nth times that even Micaella can whisper with her.

Rose turned to the door when it suddenly opened and she saw Davita in surprise.

"She's not up yet?" her younger sister asked.

Rose nodded. "I've been waking her but it's useless. What should we do to her?"

"Let her be," Davita says in surrender voice. "Get down, Lucinda needs our help."

Rose sighed and look at Micaella who is still in bed and covering her face with pillow.

"Alright, let's go."

After Rose and Davita left, Micaella open her eyes and get up in bed happily. She stretch her arms while yawning, she turned to her open windows and look down. She saw her sisters helping Lucinda fixed a chair.

Micaella decided to go downstairs quietly and trying to get some food but Iris catch her.

"You're finally up?" Micaella was stunned by her sister's voice. "Don't tell me you're bringing food upstairs? That's not allowed."

Micaella gives her a smile and approached Iris begging. "Shh, please don't tell Rose."

Iris just looked at her while studying Micaella's face. "Hmm, now I get the reason why you're not hungry cause you're bringing food in your room. You haven't still learn you lesson yet, Micaella. Rose will be mad at you."

By that, Rose and the other sisters go inside the house and saw Micaella and Iris in the kitchen. Their attention goes into Micaella because she was holding a plate with a lot of food in it.

"What is the meaning of this?" Rose asked, pressing her voice.

"I told you she will get down by herself," Iris answer meaningfully. "I caught her sneaking food and bring it upstairs, you're welcome."

Iris grinned and left the kitchen. As for Micaella, she gazed her eyes into Rose fired face while asking for an explanation.

"Uhmmm..."

"You're going to be punished," Rose said in final and Micaella's shoulder gave up. "Now put that plate down and go back to your room. You're not allowed to come down and eat for lunch, okay?"

"Fine," the youngest sister gave up.

She followed Rose order without saying a word while the other sisters feel bad about Micaella but rules are rules. They can't interfere to their conversation because Rose is the eldest and father told them to follow Rose and be kind to one another.

Meanwhile, back to the Kingdom. After the encounter of the Alpha with the old lady, he became concerned about her words. He was worried that what was said in the prophecy might come true and that was the biggest problem for his packs and his hunch is bad.

Before anything could go wrong, he thought to held a party in his palace to meet all the women in the kingdom and maybe one of them is referred to in the prophecy.

"I need to find her this instant or my throne and packs will be in danger," he says talking to himself.

All of the sudden, Blake came in his room with food. He came near him and prepare everything in Noah's table. Once he was done, he notice the trouble face of the Alpha.

"You seemed bothered? Is there anything wrong, Noah?" Blake asked concern.

"It's just a crazy things inside my head, Blake. Actually, something happened yesterday when we were at Clev's Kingdom. I bumped into an old woman who seemed to tell me a prophecy. I just forgot to tell you and of course, I just don't want you to worry but I can't get the things out of my mind," Noah explain briefly, Blake's face stiffed.

"What do you mean? What did the prophecy say?" Blake asks again but this time he was curious.

"There this girl in the prophecy that will bring me down, someday. What do you think? Is is true or some false alarm?" he asks back.

"Hmm, if that's the thing. We have no certainty so the decision is up to you. We can't believe right away but at the same time you shouldn't just ignore it. We never know," Blake replied, choosing the right words.

"Well, I was thinking... I want to hold a party here in the palace and the Kingdom is invited so I could have the chance to know everyone," Noah saying unsure.

Blake sighed in relief. "We can do that ..."

"You think so?" Noah asked in final and Blake nodded. "Alright. We'll hold a party. Please, announced it in the whole Kingdom. All of them are invited."

"Will be followed," Blake response and leave the room while Noah were starting to eat.

Suddenly, something popped into his mind that he must have forgotten one thing.

"What if the girl isn't living in the Kingdom?" He ask to himself having a face palm. "Aish!"

He also had to invite women from outside the kingdom as well as the other kingdom itself so he called a guard. Luckily, there was one near his room.

"Go to the Secretary and tell her to make me a document saying that I am inviting and give permission for women from outside the kingdom to attend, even those from other kingdoms to come to my party that will be held next week," he ordered, the guard immediately followed that and left the room.

In the afternoon, the seven sisters are busy watching a variety show in their television when Adira accidentally move the channel. The other Kingdoms servant are announcing news about the Kingdom of Royal Packs, where their father are belongs to.

"Adira? Return it—"

Rose cut off Davita. "Shh, this must be important. Wait a minute..."

"Live! Alpha of the Royal Packs has declared that every ladies in any kingdoms are invited to come and attend to his party three days from now. It's going to be a huge celebratiom but the question is what is the celebration?"

Just then someone suddenly knocked on their door and dropped a letter. Rose quickly took it and read it out loud for her other sisters to hear.

"I, Alpha Noah Campbell, the leader of the Royal Packs are inviting every woman in your household to come to our Kingdom and attend my party. See you there..."
