The Boundary Line

Chapter 10

"No!" I shouted.

I stood up and ripped the short black dress out of Aria hand and threw it back into my big wardrobe, just like I had done to many other items of clothing Aria has suggested.

"I am not wearing something like that!" I stated firmly, flopping down onto my soft bed, groaning in frustration.

About an hour ago when I arrived at the Alpha house, Aria practically dragged me to my house to find something to wear when Tristan comes. Its tradition to dress respectable when another pack comes and visits for a few days.

So here I am currently lying on my bed, pillow over my head covering my face from Aria, as she searches my massive wardrobe for something perfect( her words not mine) to wear for when Tristan and some of his pack comes tomorrow at the welcoming ceremony. But Aria was overreacting. I didn't want to be over dressed, what I wear tomorrow didn't have to be that impressive.

I hear Aria growl in frustration. I throw the pillow off my face and saw Ari throwing her hands up in the air.

"Luce, come on! just pick a damn dress!" I heard someone saying with frustration voice. I turn my head over to where my desk is, to see an amused and frustrated Jake sitting in my chair, eating some chips. I glare at him, but that seems to make him laugh.

I look at him weirdly. His expression change quickly, at first he was mad and now he is laughing. It wasn't even that funny. He was funny so hard, that he drop the bag of chips on my desk. Aria growl and I watch her walk towards to Jake and smack hi over his head, messing up his brown hair. "Shut it Edwin." I laugh as Jake stops laughing and playfully glares at Aria. Jake stretched his arms, putting them behind his head and leans back on the chair, his mouth contorted into a slight smirk. "What if I don't want to Cain?"

I roll my eyes at their childish behavior, I mean they still call each other by their last names. Hearing Aria take deep breath, I went inside my messy closet, and scan through my clothes to find something to wear.

 "We have to look nice", my wolf said. I smiled slightly.

"Yeah, but first we need to find something to wear!" I saw, and picked up a green strapless dress. My face quickly turn into horror, as I threw the horrible dress to the back of my walk in closet. I always like walk in closet because it's easy. I just hope that in Tristan house, there is a walk in closet. But, when did I even brought an ugly green strapless dress? It must be because I hate to throw away my old clothes. I don't know why but I can't throw away my old clothes. I think I have a lot of memory with my clothes, so I hate to throw them away.

I hear a groan and the chair of my desk scrap across the floor. I shifted my head over my shoulder and see an annoyed Jake walking towards me, with Aria staring at him with eyebrows raised. Jake came up next to me and shifted through my rack of dresses.

"God girls are fussy", he mumbled, inspecting a dress before moving onto the next one. Trying to keep my laughing in, I glanced at Aria to see her looking shocked before turning her mouth into smirk. Our eyes lock, both of us having the same thoughts.

Jake Edwin, the badass, hot ladies man, was in my room, trying to find something for me to wear. Jake Edwin, the guy who has been my best friend since we were pups and has had absolute distance to anything girly stuff, was helping me find something to wear tomorrow. Before I could say anything, Jake pulled out a white dress and examined it.

Jake turn around with a smirk and held up the dress. "Here", he announced and passed the dress into my hands.

I took the white soft cotton material in my hands and held it up in front of me. I could feel my face blooming into a grin as I looked at the dress. It was a white summer dress, it was middle of summer so it was pretty hot. I could tell the dress ended mid-thigh, and has thick straps. It was simple, but perfect for this occasion.

I pulled my gaze away from the dress and smiled brightly at Jake. But just as I was about to say thank you the dress was away out of my hand and I heard a shriek.

"YES!" I cringed as Aria screeched. "This is perfect!" I laugh at Aria and looked over to Jake to see a faint shade of pink tinting his cheeks. My grinned widened even more as I saw Jake scratch the back of his neck and towards my bedroom door. He opened it in hurry and turned back to us, one foot already out the door.

"I will see you guys later", he shouted, shutting the door before we could say anything. I stared at the door surprised, before slowly turning to Ari, who was paying no attention to me, but now her hands and knees were searching for some shoes. I shook my head with laughter and made my way to help Ari.

"Trust me Luce, by the time I am finished with you tomorrow, Tristan won't be able to keep his sexy hands off you!" My face heated up at Ari comment. Even Aria thinks his hands are sexy and she haven't even saw him.

"If you say so Ari", I mumble, picking up a pair of white flats with little lace design on it. "Can't I just wear these?" I suggested, holding up the shoes in front of Ari face. As soon as she saw the shoes, Ari jumped up and snatch them out of my hands and ran to the dress, that was lying on my bed. I really did have a energetic friend.

I watched her with interest, as Aria look closely at the shoes and the dress. She then suddendly turn her head around to face me with an excited look on her face.

"Perfect", she said. I sighed with relief. Finally! I went to over to my bed and put my face into my pillows, exhausted from all the clothes haunting. I feel my bed dip to my right, as Ari sat herself down next to me. I turn my head to the side to look at Ari. Ari then lay on her back, her hands folded on her stomach, frowning up at the ceiling.

Well that was a sudden change of mood.

I sit up and pat Ari hand.

"Ari, what's wrong?" I waited for Ari to answer as she continue to stare at the ceiling, frowning. Slowly she turn her head to face me and I saw confusion and uncertainty in her bright green eyes.

"I...I don't know", she started. I sat patiently, knowing she was going to say more.

"My wolf has been unsettled lately", Ari continued. "She keeps howling and whining. I ask her what's wrong but all she says is you will find out soon". Ari looked at me in the eyes and smiled at me. "I think my Mates near."

I jumped off the bed, pulling Ari with me and hugged her excitedly. Ari has always wanted to find her Mate. "Ari that great!" I grinned, giving her another squeeze, before drawing back, and seeing a smiling Aria.

"Yeah, I know, I have been feeling this way for a few days" Ari explained. " Ever since you came back from meeting Alpha Tristan".

"Oh yes! when you smelt that scent on me, that must been your Mate!" I announced happily. Ari nodded, grinning. "Yeah, that's the one!"

I laugh, feeling proud and happy that my best friend was going to find her Mate. As soon as my happiness came, it disappeared too. I glanced worriedly at Ari.

"Ari, that must mean your Mate is from The Dark Moon Pack", I whispered. I watch as Ari still composed her smile. "I know, but that's the last of my worries!" She said, while smiling at me. "I am just so happy I am finally going to meet him!"

In that moment I couldn't feel nothing but happy, as I watched my best friend eyes light up in excitement and happiness. Finally Ari was going to meet her other half, her soulmate, and the person who she is going to love for the rest of her life.

More excitement came through me as I grabbed Ari hands. "Ari, if your wolf is feeling like this, then it means that your Mate must be coming tomorrow!"

Aria nodded her head furiously, and even more excited than before.

"I know Luce!" I beamed at Aria, as my eyes stopped on my outfit for tomorrow. Just by looking at my dress, a thought came into my mind. I jumped off my bed and pulled a confused Ari with me out of my door.

"Come on Ari, we have to find you something to wear", I babbled, laughing as I heard Ari gasp in shock and horror. She ran in front of me with new energy and holding on my arm. Rushing down the stairs and through my empty house, Ari pulled me through the door and looked at me in horror as we run to her house.

"Oh my gosh! you are right Luce, I have to make an impression!" She was almost about to cry because she was so worried. As we reach her large mahogany house, Ari didn't even stop to say hi to her parents, that were standing in the kitchen, looking at us in wonder. She just raced to her room, still holding my arms and went right into her closet, searching for a dress.

I chuckled. Yep, her Mate will going to love her.
