Knox POV The second I tossed her on the bed, I knew there was no going back. I’d been trying to be patient. I told myself she needed space, told myself she deserved time to adjust, to breathe, to feel like she had control. And I meant every word of it. But watching her crawl across the floor in those shorts, hearing her curse softly under her breath as she reached for that damn bag, knowing she was here, laughing again like she hadn’t screamed herself hoarse the night before, it pushed me over the edge. Now, with her beneath me, looking up with those wide eyes, her chest rising and falling in uneven rhythm, I can’t pretend I’m calm anymore.
