Chapter 4-The second meeting

Marie

I woke up with a pounding headache,i looked around me and I immediately jumped out of the bed.This wasn’t my bed and this isn’t my room .

“Where am I??”I thought out loud

Then the events of yesterday starts pouring in,I remembered the men coming into our home and taking Juliet and i while dad sat and did nothing.

I remember Juliet falling.Oh my God Juliet,I looked around the huge room but Juliet wasn’t in here.

I make my way to the door and start pounding on the huge wooden door.I pounded on the door for close to 5 minutes before a huge man with large tattoos on his neck answered.

“Please where is my sister,she’s supposed to be with me but she isn’t here”

“Your sister is fine,she’s asleep”the huge man said

“Can I go to her please,I just need to see if she’s okay”I pleaded

“You’ll see her soon but right now you need to shower,the boss will call for you soon”he said.There are dresses in the closet,you can wear anyone you choose.

“The b…o-ss”??I stuttered

“Yes you’ll be meeting him in 10minutes so hurry up”he said

He shut the door and I went into the bathroom.Gosh,it was beautiful with its marble floors and walls and gold plated mirrors,I felt like I was in a castle.

I took off my clothes and entered into the bathtub,it was so relaxing.I closed my eyes and my thoughts drifted to dad,I know I’m supposed to hate him,but I can’t..I hope he’s okay at least,then I thought of the boss I’m supposed to meet soon,I was so nervous,what would he do with us,would he harm us,God I was so scared.

I got out of the shower and went to the closet and there were about a hundred dresses,I’ve never seen this much clothes in my entire life.I scanned through all the dresses and they were so exquisite and I knew they were very expensive.I finally found a simple tube black dress that stopped above my knees.it was a bit short but it was the only dress that covered my huge boobs and the only dress that didn’t look like I was going to a ball,I put my hair into a bun and put on the flip flops I found in the closet.

I knocked on the wooden doors and the huge man once again opened it,he looked at me and he nodded in approval before he guided me to a room,I didn’t have time to admire how beautiful the house was because this man walked really quickly and then finally we got to what I suppose was the boss’s room then he knocked.

“Come in”the voice inside said

Then the huge man pushed open the door,the man inside was tall,with broad shoulders,I couldn’t see his face because he wasn’t facing the door,he was on a call but he signaled for the man to leave and I just stood there waiting for him to look at me.

Then he turned and I gasped,green eyes that had invaded my dreams every night were staring at me.

“Lucien”I whispered

Am I dreaming??

Lucien just stood there staring at me like he couldn’t believe it was me either.

“What’s your name”he asked

“Marie,Marie Quinn”i answered

“Marie”such a beautiful name

“So It was your father that stole from me”he said more to himself than to me.

I immediately got on my knees and started to beg.

“Please sir we’ll get your money back,just let us go”I begged.I’ll get three jobs if I have too,but I’ll pay back everything my dad stole.

He just stood there looking at me and I didn’t know what was going through his head.

“Get up”he said

I stood up and looked at him.I couldn’t believe I was at the mercy of one of the most dangerous man alive.I was scared and there was also another feeling I couldn’t name.I’ve dreamt of him since that night and all the things those hands could do to my body.

“I can’t let you and your sister go,I made a deal with your father and you won’t be leaving this place till your father pays back all the money he stole”he said

“But you can’t just keep us here like criminals,I had a life out there.I was supposed to apply for an internship next year,you are ruining our lives”i sobbed.please just let us go.

He walked closer and used his thumb to gently wipe my tears.

“You are too beautiful to be shedding tears Mia cara”he whispered in my ear and I shivered.

He was so close,I could smell his cologne and his breath smelled like peppermint,he looked like he was about to kiss me and I slowly parted my lips but a knock on the door interrupted,I immediately shifted away from him and one of the men that took us from our home enters into the room.

“Lucas,is there a problem??”he sounded irritated

“Sir there was a shootout at one of the casinos,one of our men is down”Lucas said

“Stay here”Lucien said to me

“I can help,let me see him”i said

I didn’t wait for their approval,I just followed them out.Lucas led us to what seemed like a basement and I could see the injured man on a table,he was holding his stomach and he looked like he was in so much pain.

I got closer and I could see that it was a stab wound.

“I need a jacket right now”i said to the two men at my side.

Lucien immediately takes off his jacket and gives it to me and I fold it into a pillow and place it under the mans head.I tore of his shirt to examine the wound properly and I could see that it was bleeding a lot and I could tell that knife definitely cut through an artery.

“I need you to call 911 and I need a shirt”i said

Lucien gives me his shirt and I use it to apply pressure on the wound to help slow the flow of blood.

“Am I going to die”the man on the table asks.I could see he was in so much pain.

“Non morira”Lucien said.I didn’t know what it meant but it seemed to calm the man down.

I kept on applying pressure to the wound at the same time checking his breathing till Lucas says that the ambulance is here and I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding

“You are going to be fine now” i whispered.

Some men came in and took him out and I felt so exhausted that I almost fell.Lucien was at my side immediately.

“You did good today Mia cara”Lucien said

“You need to shower and rest,then I’ll take you to your sister”he said

I couldn’t wait to see my sister.
