Long Time Coming

        It was twenty year ago and I don't think I have ever forgave myself. It's probably the reason I'm still single. It was wrong and I knew it but he initiated the contact! I wasn't strong enough to walk away because I wanted him too.You see what I'm talking about is sleeping with the groom on his wedding day, right before he got married. I wasn't dumb enough to stay for the wedding. In everything I was made love to  and got my heart broke. This all comes about because he's here at my place of business. No I have no desire to let him know who I am, but I do want to ensure he does't see me. My co-worker greets him and he smiles at her. I wish he'd smile at me but I'm not sure he even like me.       "Ms. Sharon, Do we have any Love Me Nots left?" Keesha asks me from the counter        "No, they won't be in until tomorrow afternoon." I tell her. I'm in the back room because I don't want to know what he's doing in my floral shop after twenty years of not seeing each other.     "Can you come take his order while I help another customer please?" Ohh boy. Okay you can look him in the face and he probably won't remember  you anyway. I adjust my clothes, since I'm climbing all over the back of the shop getting flowers. I grab my order pad   "I understand you'd like to order some flowers?" I greet him    "I'd like to order three dozen Day Lillies. I'd also like to order lunch or dinner with you" He says  My head snapped up and looked into his eyes. He smiles at me and leans over the counter.   "Mom told me that you finally became a florist the year after the wedding. She told me where to find you." He whispered.    "Why do you need to find me ?" I ask    "Because once someone shows you love then it's kind of hard to forget or settle for less. Don't you think?"     " I don't know. I had one experience felt so guilty that I shut down emotionally."     "Will you have lunch with me tomorrow. I'm leaving the day after to return home." Looking in his eyes, I don't want to go, I don't want to know. I want to live my life just the way it is. Everything will change if i go to lunch.     "Please, it won't be too personal and the past will stay where it is" He says     "You're not giving up are you?"     "No. I need someone to talk to and mom says you're the best one to help me"     "Fine, what time?"     "What time do you normally eat lunch?"     "2"     "I'll be here at quarter til two to pick you up." Just like that he walked away, as if were old friends, not that she slept with him on his wedding day and disappeared while he slept. Well I guess everything in life does come back to you! Ohh well i guess I can prepare for the worst. Meanwhile....      She look the same. That day was a fantasy that he gave up since he married. The most disturbing thing about that encounter is that even though she ran out on him and it was his wedding day. Apparently she felt guilty when he had set out to seduce her. He had planned to call off the wedding because she was the woman he wanted to be with, he was unlucky to to meet her two weeks before he got married. Once he saw her his palms got sweaty, his heart beat right out of his chest. He couldn't take his eyes off her. His mother saw him first. He had no clue how  long he stared at her amazing beauty. Only that he wanted to know everything about her. He married Carolyn. They stayed together ten years then she had an affair and they divorced for ten years he'd been looking for Sharon. He didn't dare ask his mom because she would tell him I told you to find her on your wedding day, leave her be now. He had to find a break in his search so he broke down and asked his mom and she looked at him     "She has kicked herself everyday feeling guilty, thinking that it was her fault and that she came on to you. She has apologized to me and asked me to tell you that she is very sorry for her inappropriate behavior. If you don't mean to marry her than don't go looking for her" He laughed out loud in the car. Just as he told his mom he planned to marry her. Carolyn 's infidelity meant nothing because every time he slept with her he thought of Sharon. How responsive she had been, how she held him as if life would be torn from her if she let him go. He could never forget her soft little moans when his mouth met hers for the first time. Twenty years and the one time still makes him hard. He knew she didn't want to see him but he'd prolong his stay to take whatever time it took to break  through her defenses, to see her again on a personal level. Just him and her. He didn't want to talk about the past, he wanted to talk about the future. He wanted a future with her as his wife and possible mother of his child or children, if she was willing. If she didn't want any that was just fine because he just wanted her. Tomorrow everything will change.     She knew when he walked in the house that he'd found Sharon, seen her, talked to her and secured time with her. That was the happiest she'd seen her son look in about twenty years.      "You better make a married woman  out of her, you hear me? And just what do you expect her to do with her business? Is she supposed to give it up to follow you  to parts unknown  to her?"  Just giving  him something to think about. He'd waited all this time to find her. She knew he has been trying to find Sharon since he divorced, everyone he talked to called the house while he wasn't there to tell him where she was. She had given him the messages but she knew before the messages started coming in. He had web searched  her so he knew he was close. He didn't know she was always just under his nose. This wold be a great thing to see. If Sharon  allows herself  to get serious about Markus.     "Mom I have this thank you.She's going to do what makes her happy. We're going to have lunch and nice conversation and we are going to go from there" he said non noncommittally  to his mother while he kissed her unlined cheek.     "It'll be fine Markus watch. It will all work out." She said giving him a smile
