Long Time Coming

Ready or Not Here She Comes

    I guess i'm going to have to face her. I was going to avoid her but if Sharon needs to talk to her to feel sure of our relationship then I guess she is coming to town. 

    "Carolyn, you still want to see me face to face to talk?"

    "Yes Markus I do. We can talk about our future together and what we need to do to fix us. We were good together. We deserve to fight for our marriage don't you think?"

    "No. We don't have anything to fight for. It was nothing  to fight for when you opened your legs for what was his name? whoever it was. so there is no future for us. But apparently my new wife needs to be reassured of my love by talking to you then that's what she will have. There is no hope for us because I have always loved her and you can't compete. So just know when you come that a reconciliation is not what it's about for me. By the way did you happen to get your money problems straightened out and your job is going well right?"

    How did he know about that. "I..It's..I.. It's..I'm...well no actually"

    "Since you don't have your money problems straightened out, I guess this reconciliation is about getting money from me while you keep your man on the side. You will not be getting next to me, as I said my new wife is the only reason I'm even seeing you."

    "How can you have a new wife  when you love me. How did that b***h sink her claws in you so fast!!"

    "Excuse me!!

    "It took me two years to get you into me and you've only been there what two weeks and she have you calling you her wife and giving her everything you have. You owe me, for putting up with giving all your love to her when you were married to me. I deserve half of everything you got and I intend to get it no matter what!"

    "Really!! Thanks for telling me your plan! I still expect you to come this weekend. So that my wife and I can see you."

    "It's... You gave me nothing in the divorce but now I'm in need and I expect you to help me!!"

    "How about we discuss this when you get here. I will have everything set up. Don't worry about anything. I'll take care of everything"

    "That's more like it. See you this weekend sweets"

    Wow. Let's get this ball rolling. He started dialing and booking.

 "Are you sure you should have her here? You know it's going to be something" Jean said

    "I'm sure I need her for Sharon to be assured that I'm all about her. Even if I  have to grin and bare my gnawed off teeth just for Sharon to be sure that she is the only woman i want to be with." Markus said.

    "I think she is going to start trouble. Be warned Sharon can get pretty ugly when needed so I suggest you warn Carolyn that Sharon is not an opponent that she wants to have. Sharon really came out of her shell when she was getting her business up and running. She was fierce and even though she don't show that anymore I don't want  you to think that Carolyn is going to have an easy time of it." Jean said

    "Mom I need your help in keeping Sharon calm and on track. Always reassuring her that no matter what it look like it's all about her marrying me. Think you and I can reassure her that I'm not playing with her."

    "Are you sure you are serious about Sharon?"

    "Was i trying to see Carolyn before Sharon said something?"

    "Point taken. I'm all in for Sharon's happiness."Mom she is my everything and I need someone to shelter her while I deal with Carolyn, She needs money and on thin ice at her job so I think the motivation is money not love. I'm going to pop her bubble and I can't wait."

"How can you survive in this little backwards town? It's nothing here, not even a Walmart. I don't understand why you want to be here, when there is so much back in Chicago for us." Carolyn said complaining to Markus.

    "It's easy because my mother lives here. Most importantly my real wife is here." He said cuttingly.

     "Markus how can you think that I'm not your wife? I married  you, I made a home with you. You never gave me a chance to be a mother. You left me and I was a good wife to you. How dare you give what I worked for to another woman? She didn't wash your clothes or cook your food, or clean your house or make love to you. I did all that and for me I get nothing, but you lay everything at some sluts feet like she's god or something? You are not going to screw me like that. Period." Carolyn said.

    I have never been more happy the be at a destination than I am to get her screeching out of my ear. My mom on the porch always make me smile. I know I can this because my mom is by my side. I turned to a car pulling in behind me. There was my light. The reason for every single  thing I have done or will do.

    Carolyn whipped around to see who was coming to visit and gasped at the stunning beauty that just got out of a nice car. She was gorgeous. She had a shape out of this world. Beautiful light brown eyes, button nose, pert mouth that was pouty. How she managed to find any clothes to fit was a wonder with such a small waist, plump hips and medium boobs. She had to admit she was jealous. When she turned to see where Markus was he wasn't there. She looked back and there he was with his arms squeezing her to him and kissing her. The passion between them could be felt for miles it was so tangible. She looked ecstatic to be in his arms and he looked the same to be holding her. I see that they are in love but i want him. Not for money but because that is how he used to look at me and damn it I wanted it back.  "Excuse me but don't act like I'm not here." Carolyn interjected as they were kissing.

   Oh what fun this was going to be. Carolyn is going to really start something and Sharon is going to finish it. As Sharon's head swiveled to the screeching voice Jean knew this was going to get ugly. 

    "Hey Sharon, how are you?" Jean asked to break up the ensuing argument before it happen.

    "I'm fine Mrs. Jean, How are you today?" Sharon answered.

    "I'm doing good. Come on in and take a load off. " Jean said

    Carolyn turned to go inside, but stopped when she heard Sharon ask, "Is that who I think it is" and Markus'  "Yes, just as you asked there she is. I love you and no one else."  She watched as he ignored her to help Sharon up the steps. Oh he thinks he's going to put on some kind of show of how worthless I am to him, He have another think coming if he thinks i'm going to take this disrespect laying down. She climbed the stairs behind Markus, to add insult to injury he let the door shut in her face. She yanked the door open "did you forget that I'm here at your request Markus  so you better act like you know that." She didn't expect for Markus not to react nor did she expect for Sharon to react.

    "Listen little girl, don't you see that we are being nice to you, and in case you haven't noticed no one really wants you here but me, for my own purposes so try to play nice with us and we'll play nice with you, but piss me off and you will wish you never set foot in the state of Florida. She smiled and turned around  joining arms with Markus and walking behind Jean into the living room. 

    This is going to be interesting. I can see what is going to happen. Sharon is going to lock up with Carolyn and it won't be nothing that can be done but let them. Sharon reacted because Carolyn was being bratty. Sharon can take a lot but she can't stand immaturity. Apparently Carolyn has not grown up but gotten more childish since the divorce. "Carolyn, how are things going with you these day?"

    "It's been interesting, I wish your son would care about me, but apparently he's to busy with a gold digger to give a damn about his wife."

    "Funny, I remember the last time I saw you in court you were saying "He's no husband of mine as he wants some ghost that probably doesn't want him." I quote. I will never forget you looking my son in the eye and saying those words. So don't come here 15 years later with a sob story about being his wife when all you wanted was out. So what's the real reason you're after him?"

 This was not looking good. Mom on a roll is something I wasn't expecting. This is not good, mom is supposed to be the calm one. 

    Wow, is this how she really is or is this a show just for me.  "Excuse me, but Carolyn I wanted to talk to you, think you can be a calm adult and have a conversation?" Sharon asked

    "What?" Carolyn said

    " So what's going on with you and Markus?" She looked at Markus to shut him up no matter what she say.

    "Well since AM his wife then it's none of your business what is going on with me and him?'"

    "Funny that's not what he say, when he and I was on the phone last night, he emphatically stated that there was nothing between you two since you divorced 15 years ago, since you had a s****l relationship with someone else behind his back."

    "Only because his heart belonged to you and I couldn't get back no matter how hard I tried or what I did. He just didn't want me. It's all your fault he was my husband and  you stole him from me." Carolyn spat at sharon.

    " Thanks, I have all the information I need." she said to Carolyn. "Yes we can have the entire life that you want with me and we should start planning it now." She said to Markus. She went and hugged Jean "I'm so happy."

    "What the hell are you talking about? If you think Markus is yours you have a fight on your hands, because I'm not giving him up. So help me God I will not let you  have any peace."    

    Sharon stepped into Carolyn's space "You don't want to fight with me city girl. These are country girl hands and I don't have any nails to break. You can come catch these hands if you like but i suggest you not."

    Carolyn took a step back fearing getting hit "Are you threatening me? Hands girl please you can't  handle this?"    

    "If you feeling froggy you should jump, but again i would advise you not to. The nearest hospital is 45 minutes away. " Sharon told her. Then turned and kissed Markus on the lips and said "Does anyone need anything from the kitchen? I'm thirsty" with noone wanting anything she headed to the kitchen.

    "Do you mind telling me what all of that was about?" Markus demanded of Carolyn.

    " You are my husband and we are going to be together. IF you think i'm going to give you one moment of peace with her, you are sadly mistaken. You belong to me and I intend to have you."

    " Funny you haven't wanted me in 15 years but you want me now. How much debt are you in to be playing with your life like this.? I've never seen this side of Sharon and I pray I never have to see it again, but you think she's playing some kind of game with you but she's not. For you safety I would rethink this plan of yours." Markus said

     "Markus why do you think this is about money? Don't you know i'm truly in love you with you and want you back. Can't you see that it's my heart not my wallet that yearns for you. All jokes aside. I love you and I miss you, I just didn't know how to express it since I've been so angry about you not wanting me." Carolyn honestly answered.

      "I'm sorry but i'm in love with Sharon, she's agreed to give us a chance and I can't throw her away when you threw me away. You took everything I felt for you and dropped it at my feet and turned your  back on me and now you want to be with me. Do you know how absurd that sounds? Ok you are really here to get me back but i'm sorry I don't want you. I will only still need her and I'm not going to go through that again. It is lonely and I'm not turning my back on love because of something artificial. I don't feel anything for you at all. I'm sure because when I saw you get off that plane that was when I was going to feel something, and the entire ride here and definitely when Sharon pulled up. I know without a doubt there is nothing you can say or do. I'm sorry."

     Jean and Markus both watched Carolyn break down and cry, real heartbroken sobs that was coming from her soul. There was nothing that could be done, Markus' heart had already chose and there was no changing it. 

    " I have your plane ticket for 10 am, we need to leave at 9 to get you to the airport on time. Mom has agreed to let you stay the night here since the hotel here is booked." Markus said

    Carolyn nodded her head.
