The fact that my husband and best friend were playing with fire behind my back inevitably caused me endless pain. However, I had to go on according to my expectations. I stood together with my best friend's ex-husband, and he helped me a lot to become as strong as I am now. And finally, we both got our hearts.

Mother?
I walked out of the room, past my sister-in-law and in-laws, who had been staying with me since yesterday. I bowed my head as I passed them, trying to be polite after what had happened. "I'm leaving, I want to justify my mobile phone at the counter," I said. "It's up to you, it's fine if you don't come home," my mother-in-law said sternly. "Sister, do you want me to come with you?" my sister-in-law asked, not taking her eyes off me. "You go alone. Angela, do you want to leave anything behind?" I asked my sister-in-law. "Don't pretend to be nice, don't offer anything," my mother-in-law said. "You're just wasting William's money," my mother-in-law continued. Again, her words were like daggers piercing the depths of my heart. But I tried to take it all in, feeling that I was still strong enough to stand on my own two feet. In fact, this whole body felt like it was going to fall right then and there. I strengthened my legs to get out of the house, I took the keys to the motorbike that was lying next to the television, right in the living room of the house I had lived in for six years. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see a shard of an eye staring at me with an angry expression, perhaps ready to pounce on me. "Why are you still keeping house? Your wife is incapable of looking after you," my mother-in-law said. I walked to the door without answering my mother-in-law's words. I braced myself as best I could, holding back the tears that wanted to flow from my eyes. Meanwhile, my husband. He seemed to be still standing in his previous position, cursing me and then throwing his hand at my face. Does it hurt? Yes, it hurts a lot. In six years of marriage. He had never done anything so rude. I decided to leave the house, slinging my bag over my shoulder. My head was shaking and I really felt like I couldn't do anything. I clutched the mobile phone that had been destroyed by my husband's actions earlier. But it was my heart that was broken most of all. What exactly had made me so sure of marrying him in the first place? I prayed many times, but the answer was still the same. I gave my heart to my God, I gave my whole destiny to him. But it seems I forgot to ask for a smooth path for each step of my foot. --- So I was in the shopping centre. I looked around for a mobile phone shop to fix my phone until I found a shop with a big brand name above the shop door. "Excuse me, sis, can I fix this phone?" I asked the shopkeeper. "Can I see it first, sis?" the shop assistant asked. I handed her the phone, which was still in my hand. She took it into a soundproof room and checked it. Minutes passed and the well-dressed woman came out with a piece of paper with a message on it. "Brother, this can be repaired and here is the repair note," she said as she handed me the paper. "Okay, when can I pick it up?" I asked her. "Tomorrow, you can pick it up tomorrow," he said quietly. I smiled after signing the mobile phone repair note. Afterwards, I walked through the mall with mixed feelings. I sat on the terrace of one of the closed shops and slowly rubbed my face. I had walked around aimlessly. I stared at the sky tonight, while I continued to strengthen myself. It's a good thing I'm going home, because it's getting late. I rode along the dark and deserted road, all the houses in the complex were also very quiet. I accelerated my bike until I arrived in front of my modest house. I parked the bike in the garage and walked to the front door of my house. I pushed the doorknob and opened it slowly. There didn't seem to be anyone in the house. Or they were all asleep. But when I walked into the living room. I was so surprised to find my husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law eating happily on the mat. I swallowed my saliva and went on without showing them. But just as I was about to pass my husband. My sister-in-law offered me something to eat. Strangely, my mother-in-law kept her away from me, even though I had no intention of joining them. "There's no need to be so distant, Mum," I said. "I ate out earlier, had a burger, fruit salad and other snacks," I said. "You ate that well by yourself?" my mother-in-law said. She left her food, then got up and walked over to me as I was about to go into my room. When I realised she was already in front of me, I could see her fierce face and the rush of breath that held back her anger. "Why mum?" I asked. "Why do you say you can eat as much as you want without thinking about your mother-in-law and sister-in-law, how stingy you are. No wonder you're not pregnant yet," my mother-in-law scolded. She pointed her finger in my face. I just smiled and looked at the food on the mat in front of me. "What is it then, Mum? Is there still so much food missing? You were trying to hide the food from me," I said. "If I hadn't eaten earlier, I'd be starving right now," I continued. "It's your fault, telling me who can stay out late like an uncared for woman!" my mother-in-law snapped. "Has William ever looked after me?" I dared to say. "Do you know that all this time William has been playing crazy with other women?" I continued. "Don't slander me, Olivia!" William shouted. "How long are you going to be evasive? Or should I bring this woman into the house?" I said. I was still smiling as I tried to control my anger. I wanted to drag my mother-in-law out of this house. But I'm not that bad. All this time I had gone out of my way to be nice to her. But this is what I got in return after such a deep wound in my heart. "You don't know yourself! Just keep on spending William's money," my mother-in-law said. "Have you forgotten? I'm a working mother, I can still afford it, if only to maintain my lifestyle. What a mother's son can't give me," I said. "I am very tired tonight. You can wait if you want to talk, or you can leave this house so I can order an online taxi home," I said. "You are disobedient! How dare you throw me out! This is my son's house," she shouted, making my ears ring. "I'm not in the mood for a fight. But let me remind you. I bought this house with my own hard work," I said. "You really don't deserve to be William's wife! It's a good thing my son turned away from a woman who can't have children like you," my mother-in-law scolded. I've heard those words many times before, but it still hurts. And this time I was really disappointed. William just kept silent, without defending me at all. "Then what kind of woman should be the wife of this mother's son?" I asked. "I think William's wife will also give up her meddling mother-in-law," I said. "OLIVIA, ENOUGH!" shouted William. "You've gone too far!" he continued. "When you do that, you've gone too far. Then what are you doing, what do you want to call it?" I asked. "Get him out of here, William!" My mother-in-law said. "The one who deserves to throw him out is me, because this is my house!" I said. Brak! I closed my bedroom door tightly, although I couldn't hold back the tears I'd been holding back. "Just divorce your wife! If necessary, right now!" I could still hear my mother-in-law's voice urging her son to divorce me. "A barren woman is proud! I'm tired of seeing her face," my mother-in-law continued. She was so ruthless, it hurt so much, even though I was like this because of the way William treated me. It all happened when I began to express my suspicions to him. And I tried to express all my feelings to him. But in the end, I'm the only one who's guilty here. ****
