maybe you don't know where these kids came from, but they really know. maybe a group of christian kids is something like....protestants going away to church camp and rebelliously living out their experimental scandals and fantasies while they're away from home, you know. if ENC is really a bunch of kids who are just called Christian kids by default, you know. no matter what you do or what they do...they're really called Christian kids. and now, maybe it's a bright and shiny New Year's Evening in Baguio and all these kids are maybe gathered by the fire and eating many things like Paella, Arroz Caldo, Fried Chicken, Garlic Rice and Cake. Lots of Cake. And Gifts With Star-shaped Ribbons. now, maybe the dream is quite short-lived when a teen like Adelaide Simpson makes a commotion, again....like accidentally rough-housing with a fellow kid and kind of loses control and someone gets a broken bone, you know. so kind of goes the life of the ENC kids....you always think it's going good while every commotion of life passes thru like an indoor whirlwind. now it's like a doctor's checkup after another. required and really unquestionably shelled out by their parents....prayer and religious devotion is required to keep the boat floating. and at zero position, left or right, maybe admit you're a Christian kid...but any direction left or right, the resources are always never there. something always comes later. at any direction left or right, up or down, many things are always missing from the picture. it's really often walking into a situation and never having a spray bottle, or never having fabric conditioner, at the time it's needed...you know. and left or right, and up or down, the wrong words and wrong signages are always there. should it be christmas day?? well it's the height of summer on the clock. is it a vacation? it's overflowing with work. maybe sometimes ENC gets sent to school or office, and for a while, they can forget about their home life that never quits it with its problems. maybe ENC shells it out in school. sometimes the plot gets evil and clawful you know. and maybe you're happy to forget about your home, but sometimes you couldn't remember to bring your pencil or paper and you're just knowing about the hugest hangnail that ever existed. dropping it on the floor. forgetting your own name. falling asleep on assignment. shocks. and you catch the cold. great, yeah. maybe life is really a big headache. life is also a big headache for ENC. and maybe admit now that you're really Christian kids....and maybe it's one all-in package without any friendly letter? right, headaches included. you win. you win.
