28. Meet my Brother

Felicity POV:

“You see Violet, Cassius is not the only male descendent of Xavier, meet my brother Francis. You, Violet are sentenced to death for the conspiracy with the Elders and for using dark magic on the Luna and Alpha of Marble Pack” when I stopped talking Levi approached her and I turned Cassius’ head away from them. I didn’t want him to see Levi ripping her whole body apart.

“MARBLE, GET READY FOR WAR! THE ELDERS THOUGHT THEY COULD KILL THE WOLVES AND TAKE YOUR FUTURE HEIR!” I shouted and the congregation started to stamp their feet, I knew what was coming. I felt Kilian standing next to me and Violet’s screams filled the hall.

“MAKE THEM SUFFER, MAKE THEM BLEED!” Kilian started chanting. “WE ARE…”

“MARBLE!” the pack replied.

“MAKE THEM SUFFER, MAKE THEM BLEED” He repated.

As the chanting continued I kissed Cassius’ head and gave him to Kilian, they needed to train and I had to get back to the order. I secretly hoped Violet was a wolf and there wouldn’t be a war between the Elders and the wolves.

“AAAAHHHH” my scream was matched with Kilian’s I fell to the floor and I felt connected to the pack again. My head was filled with voices and cheers, Violet’s death broke the curse and I was connected again. I even felt the bond between me and Kilian strengthen, the years of hatred and embarrassment disappeared.

“Darling are you okay?” he helped me to my feet. “You can feel it can’t you?” he was grinning from ear to ear. I looked down to see Cassius’ blue eyes looking up at me in wonder. I didn’t want to leave him, but what kind of a Mother would I be if I left my Daughters without a word, especially in this situation.

“Marble, when you kneeled there were creatures left standing, which means they were not wolves, restrain them and take them to the dungeons” Kilian’s mind link made me smile. He knew that Violet would be watched, the Elders must have sent their spies to make sure she married Kilian. He didn’t want them knowing about Francis.

“You are the most handsome little boy I have ever seen. I’m sorry about your mommy. You need to be strong and protect your daddy okay? Because he doesn’t always know what to do” I kissed Cassis’ forehead and started to walk down the stairs.

“Where are you going?” Cassius grabbed my wrist and his eyes were filled with tears.  Deep down I heard his wolf whimper.

“I need to protect my daughters from very bad people, so they don’t come here and harm you” I gave him another hug and my own eyes started to tear up. My own son didn’t even know me but wanted me near him.

“Promise you’ll come back” I heard him say. “Promise”.

I looked up to see Kilian staring down at me. I knew he wanted me to say it back, he wanted me back and I wanted nothing else than to have both of my children with their parents, but I didn’t know how to do it. What was my destiny?

I put both of my hand of either side of his face and smiled through my tears.

“I promise” I said it through the mindlink. I didn’t want Kilian to hear me.

I rushed down the stairs and through the hall with Levi beside me. Wolves moved apart as they were shocked with my departure. They didn’t want to approach me because I have changed over the years. I looked means fiercer, I had more muscles, scars and runes. Levi wasn’t helping the situation either. His own wolf had muscles and blood dripped from his teeth.

As I got outside to the drive I was stunned by a weight of a body on mine. I wanted to flip whoever was on me over and grab their throat but Estrid remained silent, whoever it was, wasn’t a threat.

“Felicity, I’m so sorry we didn’t know the truth “I heard Katy’s voice.

I turned around to be met with my sister in law’s silver eyes, they were filled with regret and desperation. I lunged at her neck and hugged her tighter. I felt a small bump between us , as I leaned back I realised she was pregnant.

“Katy congratulations, you’re pregnant wow”.

“What? That’s not important, you’re here, you’re back!”

“Katy listen..”

“No, before you say anything I just want to say how sorry I am. I hated you, I mean like, I really hated you. I thought you broke my brother’s heart and left him with a pup. I wanted to find you and challenge you but I obviously knew I would die. I was so angry and hurt. But I never lost the connection, I knew there was something. He never loved her you know. Violent he never loved her”.

“Katy I felt the same, I thought he rejected me. But I’m not staying, I need to leave”. I held her hands in mine to show her how sorry I was.

“You’re leaving again?” I heard Stacey from the top of the stairs walking down. She growled at me 20 minutes ago and told me to leave and now she was questioning it.

“Yes I have to, I can’t stay. I’m the Mother” I admitted.

They both took a step back in disbelief, they knew I was defeated and I gave birth to a boy, for all they knew I had no right to be the Mother.

“How?” Stacey asked.

I didn’t even know where to start or what to say. I heard Levi barking behind me, jumping up and down by the car door. He couldn’t shift yet as we didn’t have any spare clothes, he suddenly started scratching the door.

“Hey, hey! Don’t scratch the car, it’s a rental” I walked over to it and he gave me a deadly stare. I didn’t want to deal with this.

“Just do it!” he mind linked me.

“Get your snout out of my business! It was a mistake”.

“IT WAS YOUR IDEA!”

“Well I was wrong, now get your ass in the car”.

“No” he circled around and sat on the floor. He was so stubborn.

I looked over to Stacey and Katy who were waiting for my response. They wanted to know why I had to leave and they could see I had a heated conversation with Francis.

“Urghhh fine” I murmured out loud. I opened the car door and grabbed sleepy Cassidy out of her car seat. She wrapped her legs and arms around my body and carried on sleeping. Katy and Stacey were left stunned and they couldn’t get their heads round what was happening.

“Who is that?” Stacey said quietly.

“Cassidy?” Kilian ran down towards me and stopped before rubbing the back of her head. She must have felt his presence as she started to wriggle around. She turned her face to look at him. Suddenly Cassidy let go of me and leaped into his arms. She recognised how comfortable she was in his arms last time.

“Stacey don’t freak out please” I looked over to the two stunned women behind Kilian. “This is Cassidy. She was born after Kilian took Cassius into the hospital. She has my eyes and hair but his attitude, which I guess you know how annoying that can be. She is your granddaughter. I became a Mother after her birth, that’s why I can’t stay here”.

Stacey covered her gasped mouth with her hands and the shock of having two royal grandchildren must have been too much for her.

“Hey baby girl, how are you doing?” Kilian asked her as Stacey approached her.

“Don’t worry Mother left the window open” she joked around as she started swinging her hands around getting ready to play.

“Hello darling” Stacey bent over and wrapped a strand of Cassidy’s black hair around her finger. She was amazed at the resemblance she had to me and Kilian. “Do you want to play? We have a lot of toys” she grabbed her little hand in hers and started to walk away. Levi got up and nudged my leg as he followed them into the garden.

“No wait hold on we have go. Hello?” I called after them, but no-one was listening to me. I dropped my hands down as it was pointless to go after them. I had to give Stacey a chance to get to know her granddaughter. The biggest secret I ever had to hide.

“We need to talk” Kilian got up and looked directly at me. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him as the mate bond was stronger than ever. “My office now”.
