. Kilian POV:
Lucas was the only one who knew about Felicity, the only one I could talk to but he was back at Stonecross. It has been seven days since I found out, seven days of thinking about “what if”. Seven days of drinking my pain away and seven days of Bane snivelling in my head. I knew I lost Felicity but Bane lost Estrid as well. For the last four years I was trying to get away from the pain, swimming away from longing her but now I felt like I was drowning in my feelings. I needed to be with her, I had to tell her the truth.
But what was the truth? Someone tried to break our bond, she wouldn’t believe that, she would think that I’m messing her around again. I didn’t even remember what happened during the rejection, all I remember was looking at Cassius and then being on the floor. That was the first time I met Violet.
s**t Violet!
I haven’t seen her in a week and she was my fiancé, she was going to be the next Luna of my pack, our Pack. Violet was a rogue; she didn’t have a family or a pack. When I first met her, she didn’t even like her own wolf which meant that she hated shifting. I only saw her wolf twice in the last four years, she wasn’t Luna material but deep down I cared for her as I knew Cassius really took to her. At the end of the day, she was his stepmother. The only mother he has even known.
“Hey Kilian, can I come in?” I heard her voice from behind the door. She tried to open it a few times but my slouched body was preventing her to coming in. I slowly sat up and opened the door for her. “You look like s**t” she commented making me chuckle.
“I’m sorry, I’ve been really busy and I need to leave for a few days. I need to go somewhere” I looked at the plane ticket on my desk and wondered whether if should go or not.
“That’s fine, where are you going?” she put her hands on her hips and I knew the interrogation was going to start.
“I can’t tell you. It’s strictly business” I saw her face drop and I was hoping she would change the subject.
“I was thinking… our wedding. Can we bring it forward?” she asked politely.
Immediately Bane started growling, since finding out about Felicity he wanted nothing more than to fly to Estrid and Felicity and never leave them alone. I completely forgot about Violet and our wedding. I wasn’t in the mood to think about it, the wedding was supposed to be next month, enough time to sort everything out.
“How ‘forward’?” I asked cautiously.
“Next week?” I felt my stomach flipping from anxiety, I always trusted my gut so why should this time be any different.
“Violet, the Elders are planning something against the wolves. We can’t bring the wedding forward, I’m sorry. Everyone is on high alert, even the Daughters are taking part. Last time we hosted a party, packs were attacked and wolves were killed. I can’t marry you… yet” I added.
“YOU ARE ALWAYS DELAYING IT! WHY” she suddenly erupted. I knew she has trying to get in contact with me and I have been avoiding her for a reason. I still loved Felicity and I was marrying another woman; I couldn’t look at her. However, her reaction was unexpected, she couldn’t expect me to change the wedding plans so suddenly, there must have been a reason for her asking for it.
“I’m not delaying it, I’m trying to keep everyone safe and that includes you. I’m flying to South Carolina this evening and then to New York. I promise you we will talk about this when we come back” I quickly grabbed the plane ticket from my desk and kissed her on the cheek walking out. Her face was scrunched and she pupils widened when I mentioned South Carolina.
I said goodbye to Cassius and went to find Seth, he needed to know, as my Beta and as my best friend. I knocked on his door and waited for him to open up.
“Hey Alpha, what’s up is everything okay?” I knew he was being genuine for the last seven days I got countless knock on my door and hundreds of mind links. “Katy is already asleep and I don’t want to wake her up?” he walked out of their room and shut it quietly behind him.
“I need you to tell me something and you have to be honest with me” he nodded listening to my plea. “Does Oscar feel empty?” I asked.
He scrunched his face and raised his eyebrows, he was obviously confused.
“When Felicity rejected me, she rejected Marble as well …”
“Kilian that was four years ago why are you bring it up?” he started.
“Just listen, did Oscar feel any pain four years ago, is he missing his Luna?” I was hoping just for one answer but he was hesitant.
“No, he can still feel her so no he is not missing her” he confessed. “Me and Katy spoke about this so many times, we can still feel a full connection, it’s weak but it’s there. Kilian why are we talking about this? Violet will be the new Luna so please stop thinking about Felicity” he put his hand on my shoulder but he didn’t understand how serious this situation was becoming.
“I can’t Seth, Felicity is still the Luna of Marble and she is still my mate. I’m going to get her back” I said as I started to walk off. “YOU’RE IN CHARGE OF MARBLE FOR NOW” I ordered as I disappeared about the corner.
A few hours later the jet landed in Columbia Airport and I hired a car for a couple of days. I didn’t have a change of clothes or any baggage. I was driving to the Daughters in the same clothes that I wore for the last two days. I had no plan, no idea of what I would do or say, I was hoping the words would come to me when I saw her. I gripped the steering wheel tighter as I imagined how she would react to the information. But what if she already knew.
Felicity POV
I was standing in front of Francis who was tied up to a pole in the training area half beaten to death, but he wasn’t giving up. He said he wanted to bring Levi out at all cost. He needed to shift and we have been fighting with him for the last three hours.
“Wolves shift!” I ordered the Daughters who were wolves and any recent rogues to shift. It has worked a few times before as I saw Francis’ fingers turn to claws. He started screaming again as Levi was begging to get out as he sensed wolves near him. My Daughters were circling him and started to attack again, I was hoping that this time it would work, I wanted Levi to protect Francis.
But it didn’t.
“Mother” Poppy called me to the side. “Command him” she said.
“What? I can’t, the Royal command only works on normal wolves; Levi is a Royal and he is my older brother he has more power than me” I explained. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t think about it, but I felt guilty for making him shift without him wanting to come out.
“You have more control over your powers, you can split your soul and you can see auras. You can speak to any wolf you want. You are Fury!” she continued.
Poppy was right, I have known Estrid for a lot longer and we had a better relationship than Francis and Levi. We had to do it together, I had to share my command with her.
“Levi shift!” Francis was on his knees by the pole now. I raised his head and made him look me in the eyes. “Shift” I saw his eyes turn black and his aura expanded around his body. “LEVI SHIFT” I shouted again. The training field was filled with the sound of broken bones and popping sockets.
“SHIFT NOW!” I repeated.
The sound of bones breaking continued.
“AAAAAAHHHHHH” Francis screamed.
I saw black fur growing.
Paws expanding.
Tail swooshing from side to side.
The beast in front of me opened its eyes.
I was met with one black and one blue eye. I have never seen anything like it, wolves would usually take on the characteristics of the person. Estrid had my blue eyes, she took after me and I was expecting the same with Levi. I took a few steps back and I noticed how huge the wolf was. He truly was a Royal.
The odd eyes terrified me, it only met that Francis wasn’t strong enough to have full control or Levi was too strong for him and was slowly taking over.
Levi is that you? I said through our mind link.
Hello sis!! He said mockingly.
I jumped at his neck and tried to wrap my hands around his body, but I couldn’t, his was too large. Everything was working out for me, I had my family, there were two Royal wolves and the Daughters were now being more recognised than ever before.
You really are my twin; we have the same fur. I saw Estrid chucking in my head.
“Mother, there’s an emergency at the boarder” I heard the radio go off at my hip.
“What is it?” Poppy answered for me.
“There’s a wolf who needs to see you, desperately”.
I gave her a quick look and we ran to back into the house. I knew more wolves were coming to us for help and training but I wasn’t expecting what I saw. Kilian walked into the Great Hall and smiled at me.
