I never thought that spending one night with a stranger would change my life forever. His personality was strong, he was drunk, and he was burning like a flame. I had no idea that he was the Lycan King or that he would kick me out if he found out I was human.

I decided to forget about him after I left, broken and ashamed. Until two pink lines changed everything in a big way. I am now pregnant. I have a Lycan King's children inside me.

It was a secret I kept from everyone, and I lived a life separate from his until fate, or maybe even destiny, pulled me back because someone else found it. Someone with a grudge against the Lycan King wants to use me and our kids as pawns in their game.

I am stuck between a bad guy who wants to rip it out and the man who broke my heart. Of course, I am not the same woman he turned away.I am stronger and more brutal. My sprinting is over too. Together with me, we have to fight to keep his kids safe.

There are no more secrets to keep, our enemies are closing in, and the only way out is through the flames. It brings him joy to make amends. I am looking for revenge. We have two choices: either we get back together to defeat our enemies or lose all the things we did not realise we had and needed.

Chapter 002: Secrets and Lies
Aria's POV “You’re hiding something.” Kieran's piercing voice silenced me completely. My hand stopped at the Zara apartment door handle. Heart thumping, I turned to meet him cautiously. Tall and authoritative, he stood there with silver eyes flickering slightly beneath the streetlight. Two weeks had passed since he dumped me from his penthouse and since I discovered I was expecting twins. I considered myself to be safe. I considered myself to have fled. But just now he was here. "Back off, Kieran," I said, covering my anxiety with rage. That night meant nothing, as you made very obvious. Get on. I indeed did. His mouth locked as he stepped forward. His body's heat stroking my skin made breathing more difficult. "You disappeared completely." "You have no job at all." There's not even a flat to call home. I am aware that the authorities have dispatched people to search for you. Why do you find yourself running? I choked hard, tightening my hold on the door handle. He was not sure. He was not sure. "Because I'm done with your world," I answered, my voice quivering even as I tried to sound firm. "Remember, you turned away from me. I am simply a human being. I am not worthy of your time. His eyes wavered with something, maybe remorse. Aches? I was not interested. "Aria..." He stretched out his fingers, caressing my arm. Like previously, the contact set sparks over me. Oh, great. Why did my body still react to him? I tugged my arm away. Let me be left alone, Kieran. But Kieran never paid attention when told "no." He stopped the door before I could enter, focusing on a narrow gaze. "I can't," he said, voice low and menacing. "My instincts tell me that concealing is crucial." Do you find yourself in danger? I gasped. Only if he understood how right he was. But the risk was inside me, getting more powerful every day—not from without. His descendants. I gave a strained, grudging grin. "You, Kieran, pose the only risk here. Retrace your steps to your country. Forget the us we once knew. His eyes clouded. "Is that what you actually want?" I hesitated, heart thumping. No, it did not. I couldn't, however, afford to let him know about the twins. Knowing the truth would help. "I have already forgotten," I said, lying. Something broke in his eye for a second. Nd. And then the chilly mask came back just like that. "Fine," he said, a bit. When the universe turns against you, avoid coming crawling back. Humans barely make it when they arrive on our planet. With that, he spun around and disappeared into the night. I shook as I stood there. He lacked knowledge. Not sure. But for what length of time should I keep this secret? Zara's little flat seemed too cramped and too stifling later that evening. Sitting cross-legged on the couch, my best friend and sole truth-telling buddy watched me pace. Her emerald eyes glittered with anxiety; her long blonde hair was pulled back. You saw him, she said, guessing. I nodded and collapsed onto the couch next to her. "He was exactly there." Investigating questions. He senses something is awry. Zara moaned and ran her hands over her temples. Kieran is not just any werewolf; his name is a Lycan King. His senses are among the best of theirs. He will keep excavating. I gently put a pal. Kieran is not just any werewolf; his name is a Lycan King.to my tummy, hardly visible but already somewhat protective. Zara, I cannot let him know. Should he, he will claim them. And his environment is hazardous. It brought Caleb dead. I refuse to allow it to get near my children. Her eyes changed to become kind. "We will keep you under wraps. I can spell another concealment. It will cover your scent and hinder supernatural awareness. I nodded with a sorrowful heart. This was not the life I had in mind—hiding, lying, watching over my shoulder nonstop. But what option did I have? All fell apart the following morning. Zara called, sounding desperate, midway through my shift at the café. "Aria"! Leave that area! Right now! My blood felt frigid. "What?" What is occurring? "Outside there's a wolf." Among Kieran's soldiers, not one is someone else. He wants to know about you. He has dark hair and a scar across his cheek. He smells off-target. Likewise with evil magic. My heart flew against my ribs. Valtor Draven. Among Zara's witchy pals, I had heard the name murmured—a rogue banished by Kieran himself. I stopped waiting. I tore off my apron and raced out the rear door. But I lacked the speed required. One of the hands shot out, grasping my arm. "Going somewhere, pretty girl?" asked I gasped, staring up at dark, nasty eyes. Draft. Let me go! I fought, panic washing over me. Draven grinned faintly. You have something worthwhile. I have a scent from it. Lycan blood? But human? His eyes lowered to my tummy, and insight came through. "Oh, this is very wealthy. The great Kieran knocked down a human and is unsure about it. How wonderfully horrible. She is sorrowful. Terror made me stop in front. He realised. I implored, voice trembling, "Please." Let me go. I am not fighting beside you. He bent, breathing hot in my ear. Oh, but right now you are. Your secret is little? That is my path to exact retribution. Kieran grabbed everything from my hand. I shall now remove everything from him, beginning with his legacy. My heart almost came to a halt. The twin pair. He had the twins in mind. Suddenly, a snarl tore across the room. Draven tensed, his hands strong. No... Silver flashed, and then Draven was dragged away from me, thrown into the alley wall by a dark powder blue. Kieran here. With muscles tight and eyes blazing like molten silver, he stood there. He shouted, "Touch her again," then "I'll tear you apart." Draven coughed and smiled in spite of blood running from his lip. " Hit a nerve, did I? Your Majesty, did you not know you were going to be a dad? Kieran paused. His gaze swept towards me, my pale face, my shaky hand on my tummy. He felt realization like a goods train. "Aria?" he gasped. Tears streamed up. This was not the means by which he ought to learn. Run! I yelled. "Run, both of you!" Shadows loomed behind Draven—more rogues, crawling nearer. They, too, were not here for me. They came here to see my children.
