The nightmare came back that night. I was on the rooftop of the school again, the sky a suffocating blanket of darkness pressing down on me. Naomi stood there, her face a twisted mask of anger and fear. Her eyes locked onto mine, cold and unyielding. Behind her, I could see Samuel, standing at the edge, his back turned to us, as if he couldn't hear the chaos. I screamed for him, but my voice was swallowed by the wind.
