Wanted

Everything faded from black to white I looked around, there was nothing. I was lay on the grass behind the old building. I can't even remember how I got here, yet I can remember being out with my friends drinking or something. My head hurt, my katana was laid neatly beside me along with my rifle... "Need a hand?" The familiar cold voice asked, It was Isuno, of course, he was looking away from me and seemed as if he had better things to do or just couldn't be bothered anymore. I nodded and, he held his hand out and helped me up. "Thanks" I muttered "Mhm," He turned and walked away, disappearing as he did. He was as cold as ever, all I ever did was care about him and he always treated me as if I had killed his family, and was forced to know me because I am his younger sister...All I want is for him to be happy and safe...and maybe even for us to get along and actually become siblings again. But I don't think that's even possible, he hates me...I wouldn't be surprised if he wants me dead. I sighed as I whisked the dirt off me. I grabbed my katana and slid it carefully back in its sheath on my waist. The sheath was blue and made out of a metal painted blue with small gold lettering on the side.  I felt my wings stretch out as I opened a portal back to my home. Back to ruling the abyss again...I let out a sigh knowing that I'd have to deal with quarrels and fights all day. And hey, at least when the angels attack, it's something different, right? I entered and ended up sitting in my bedroom. Nothing had changed. The bed was still made, my door was still closed. I lived alone, yet my home was massive...I hated it. Wondering aimlessly alone. Nobody came to visit me. People only came if they had issues for me to solve. Not even my children came. It was like everybody had forgotten about me...And hey, I guess I can't blame them. I heard a crash and the sound of something falling on the floor...Glass. Somebody or something had broken in. I grabbed my pistol and headed towards the sound quietly and carefully, making sure to check all rooms, every inch... I felt something cold and hard grab me from behind, pulling me to the floor. I hit the ground with a thud. Everything faded to black for a second before I was able to see properly again. A tall figure stood in front of me, I couldn't see their face, they seemed to be wearing a mask and the hood covered their eyes. They grabbed my pistol and aimed it at my head, I glanced around quickly trying to find a way to get out of the situation. Nothing. I steadied my breathing, but before I could do anything there was a flash of light, then darkness. Had, Had I been shot? No that's impossible. I would be dead if they had. Unless they didn't shoot my head...  A while later I opened my eyes. The figure was gone, but where was I? This wasn't my home or anywhere I'd seen before.  "Hey?" Their voice was soft and familiar. I glanced up, the bright light blinding as I squinted. I saw them, sat next to me and holding my hand. His hair was a soft messy white and he had a soft calming smile. "Are you feeling ok? Do you need anything" His soft voice asked, I shook my head. Not wanting to be a disturbance. He smiled more and nodded. I could barely feel my legs and my chest ached and the light was still a bright blinding white. I looked around slowly. The room seemed to be some sort of hospital room, the windows blocked and a small curtain around the bed and in front of the door.  A few minutes passed, my eyes still wandering. A small boy seeming to be only 10 walked into the room. "Good Afternoon, Ya ok?" His voice was quite calm and yet it seemed to send chills down my spine. The doctor just smiled and pet my head. The young boy's looked around the room before he stopped and looked at my wings slightly puzzled. "Should I be surprised at the fact  your wings can fit in the bed, the fact that they only sent a mere helper or the fact that you can still move without feeling immense pain in your wings.." He said this jokingly although he looked like he was actually pondering. I was still quite dazed and wasn't sure how to respond. "Maybe all of them?" I mumbled, my voice was gravely and I coughed out a small amount of blood, it did hurt but it wasn't that bad...I mean I don't even know what injuries I have for god's sake.  "Eh, I've seen worse and scarier," He said this nonchalantly. He was only ten and he seems like he's a 30-year-old who's been through wars.  "Mhm, s-so erm what are your names?" I asked not knowing what else I could say. "I'm Miko~ And this is Xavier. We already know yours so don't try to speak. You've got enough troubles already, so just rest" I just nodded, following orders...As always. At least this time I won't be beaten if I didn't huh. "I'll erm...Be right back" Xavier moved out of my sight and out of the room, closing the door behind him. Miko smiled and pet my head again. I could hear faint speaking but couldn't make out who it was or much of what they were saying all I heard was "Kill me...Patients" Was this just another dream? Or was this actually happening? I can't even tell the difference between dreams and reality anymore, they just seem to merge. I felt a sharp pain in my back and then numbness. My eyes closed for just a second and the room went dark and Miko was gone...Another few seconds passed and they flickered on again. Miko was back and still petting me. He smiled but this time...Instead of his warm and soft smile it seemed distorted and deranged. He looked at me as if I were prey to some murderer. He took a needle and some sort of liquid, I tried to move but I couldn't. It felt as if somebody were holding me down. I struggled more. My vision turning blurry. I felt a warm tingle shoot through my body. They came closer and my heart began to race. I looked around the room. Panicked and hyperventilating. Before they did Xavier walked in. My eyes closed and the person was gone. I was shaking and a lot. "You're just dreaming Eli...It's ok just take it easy ok?" Miko rushed back into the room and my heart began to slow back down. "I shouldn't have left her..." Miko's voice seemed quite sad and guilty. I shook my head quickly. "I-I was just being pathetic. S-Sorry sir. I-It wasn't your fault" My voice was shakey I coughed a little more blood out. My chest hurt and bad. I still felt dizzy. Like the world was spinning. "It's not your fault...Ya know if you were here she could have had a different dream. Maybe worse than the one she had." Xavier's voice sounded sweeter although he did try to cover it. After a while, I drifted into a hopefully dreamless slumber.  The room was dark and everything was blurry. But I could feel something...No, Somebody. On my chest...I glanced up but couldn't see much. I could make out a small figure. I blinked not sure if I was dreaming again and it was gone. Miko was fast asleep and I couldn't see Xavier fully but I knew he was there. Did he see it? Something grabbed me and dragged me away. I couldn't see where or if I was even in the building anymore. Everything was fading in and out of darkness. They were running and fast. They let go and I fell to the cold and hard ground. There was something sticky and wet underneath me. I looked around but could only see a distant light.  I looked around, unsure of what was going on. The silence was almost deafening before a voice broke the silence. "Long time no see~ Eli~" It...No.It can't be. I refuse to believe he's still alive. No...This is just another dream. "Oh this is no dream sweetie...Now you'd better start running before I get a hold of you. 5...4" I scrambled to my feet the world still spinning and I ran. I didn't turn back I ran for that light.
