What the hell was going on with this wolf?!? I have met all kinds of wolves during my time "working" for Grey, but none of them ever bruised like Lilly. I mean Chase pinched hard but not hard enough to leave an orange-sized bruise under my arm. However, Lilly looked like someone had taken a baseball bat to her!
"Goddess you are a freak!" I spat out before I could think about it.
Unexpectedly, Lilly just chuckled as she sipped her beer. "I don't deny that. I could say the same about you, considering you are a siren who has immersed herself in a wolf pack. You act like you are one of us and you aren't. How does that not make a freak?"
Hissing softly, I watched the woman. "It is the world I was raised in! Why would I not act like a wolf when it is all I know?"
