I could feel my blood lust stirring as we entered the meeting hall. Ash was pacing in the back of my mind but our connection was already wavering. I searched for him now and again, and half the time I had trouble sensing him. 'Ash...'
'I'm here...' Ash answered weakly.
'Why is the connection wavering? I haven't even seen Grey yet.'
'I don't know,' Ash's voice echoed slightly as his presence wavered again. 'This isn't good though. The blood lust you feel now is nothing compared to what you felt even an hour ago. I don't understand why the bond is wavering now when it didn't then.'
Growling sightly, I paused in the hallway and took a few deep breaths trying to center myself. 'How am I going to get the answers we need if our bond is already wavering...'
