Tleigh's pov
I rub my eyes with the heels of my knuckles as a yawn escapes my mouth. I open my bleary eyes trying to adjust to the golden fingers of sunlight that are sipping through my window thus making it lit up. I then drag my ass across the bed to the window to draw my curtains open. I'm immediately greeted with a dappled sun casting a rosy hue across the morning blue sky which is dotted beautifully with fluffy white clouds that are drifting lazily in the gentle breeze.
"Yaaaaay!!!! God please is this a sign of today's going? Let it be a good day!" I shout out loud my voice diffusing into the trees surrounding our compound. I just feel cheery and lively than I've ever felt. In a crisp and clear day like this, I always want good luck. Another Saturday with new hopes and inspirations just like any other day!
I lower my feet to the floor and pad towards my Ashley trinell two drawer night stand beside my bed. I pull the top drawer to get my phone. I usually do turn it off if I want a peaceful sleep in weekend when we're not with Tif and Cam. I know it's not logic but tell me, will you stand a nagging Tiffany waking you up at 3 in the morning just to rant about the horrible nightmare she has just woken up from and how she can't sleep anymore? No, I prefer it shut down, I can't give her the energy to throw tantrums at me that I assumed her calls if I'll prefer it silent.
I check on the time and it's a quarter past eleven in the morning. I gasp out loudly my eyes scanning the small digits at the corner of my home screen displaying eleven colon fifteen. Sweet Jesus! I slept in today. I unlock the screen and a message notification snatches my attention. 'Bally' that's how I saved him after leaving his place.
Bally: Morning princess, Nice day ahead ?.
The smile that threatens to break through my cheeks every time I sees his common messages is unexplainable. Actually right now my I'm grinning widely at those five letter words I've become used to and so fond of.
My fingers move ambly to the phone keyboard and I find myself typing without much ado.
Me: Nice day too Bally.
I place my phone on the nightstand and I sluggishly scuff my feet into the bathroom to get rid of my morning breath before I forget. I take a light swap of toothpaste into my toothbrush and I shove it into my mouth when I hear a message going off from the bedroom. I brush quickly and I don't even bother rinsing my brush as I drop it into the rack beside the sink. I clump towards my nightstand as I wipe off my mouth with a towel I grab on my way out of the bathroom which was hanging on the door.
I throw the towel into the hamper and then turn to check my phone.
Bally: I knew this day was special in some way! I knew it, I wanna shout out to the world that princess just replied to my message woooooo!!??
I chuckle at his reply shaking my head lightly as I type back.
Me: Don't be silly, I just wanted to wish you a nice day too because mine seems to have started nice I see.
I scroll up on his older messages looking at them a smile plastered on my face. They seems to be like some type of poetry right now. Repetition is well applied here but I still finds them amusing. A texts pops up again seconds later.
Bally: So sweet to hear that your day started nice. Can you mind telling me your plans for today then?
I smile again as I type instantly.
Me: why?
I can't understand why he needs to know my plans, but anyway I'll just tell him it's not that big of a deal. Before scurrying my fingers across the screen, he replies.
Bally: Nothing really, I'm just curious.
So funny of him. He's getting curious... seriously though?
Me: Well, My nanny Zila, Dad and I are taking Lodzin to the town fair. It's not like we fancy town fairs but it's our way of bonding but the main reason for us going there is Lodzin, it makes him very very happy and that's what makes us happy too.
Bally: So you're going to the townfair downtown like seriously?
Me: Yeah why?
Bally: Nothing I'm just surprised, but just so you know I'm coming too. Cassandra was taking Bruce but I have to tag along with them, I had rejected them earlier. So I gotta prepare.
Honestly I don't know if that has made me more happier or tensed. Will I get to see him the way that place is always packed up on Saturdays? Anyway does he really want to see me too?
Me: Why are you changing your mind that fast, it's clear that you had no plans of going.
I hope this will not change his mind again. I hope he comes, I don't know why but I always do want to see him. Even when he gets into my skin he still has his own ways of unraveling me without knowing.
Bally: Because I want to see that beautiful face of yours. Who knows, maybe I'm chatting with someone else and here I think it's kellane?. Because the real kellane will always ignore me physically or even in texts.
Well, I'm done pushing you away Bally. We can be friends because that's what I want now. My cheeks burn at his first sentence and the second sentence renders me throwing my head back with laughter. I can't believe he thinks so. Anyway I gave him no choice, I pushed him away to pave way for the girl who was eating his head away. I hope he found her, I don't want to mess this up.
Me: You must be kidding me, who else can text you other than me? ??
Bally: Your mother even, who knows.??, You know mothers can be creepy sometimes, I'm sorry mum kellane if you're the one texting me, I know you ain't creepy ??
Were we really supposed to come into this extent? The morale I had of chatting with him has slowly slipped away. I know he's not aware of any thing but I gotta act strong here. I find myself chuckling again at his humour.
Me: Anyway my father will be there so you're not going to see me.
Bally: It's not like I'm going to marry his daughter without his permission, c'mon ?
He can't be any serious Jesus. He's crazy really. I giggle at his choice of words and another text from him pops up.
Bally: Seems like your father is so strict. See you on Monday at school?
Oh s**t no! I want to see you today Bally, I was just saying, thought you'll be persistent.
Me: He's not, don't change your mind, you were coming so you'll still come.
Bally: Well, it didn't take much of asking to know if you do miss me?, you just said it yourself since you want to see me so bad?. After all I was not going to stop coming, I just needed to make sure this misses are not one sided.??
To hell, can this boy be any serious? I can't stop the smile that seems to be hurting my cheeks right now. I hear the sound of scuffing feet getting closer my bedroom and I type quickly my last message.
Me: Douche! ??, See you there bye I'm going to get ready.
"Honey, wake up already you've had enough sleep." I hear Zila's voice as she jiggles my doorjamb. I quickly slip into my sandals and I scurry towards the door to open it.
"I'm up already, morning beautiful Zila." I wink at her after opening my door and I pave way for her to get in.
"Well someone is so happy today, can you mind telling me why?" She takes a seat on my bed as she gives me a cheeky smile.
"Because we're going to the town fair!" I say with a chirpy voice slumping myself on the mattress just next to her.
"Is that all?" She raises a brow questioningly and for a moment I feel my cheeks flushing.
"Yeeeeesss what else?" I blurt dragging the yes as I swat her arm lightly.
"I don't know, I'm just wondering why your cheeks are so tomato like."
"What?" I gasp my eyes popping out in surprise. "Why do you care if Tiffany and Cam said something stupid in our w******p group." I cover the embarrassment that is about to ooze out in a spur of a moment without giving it too much of thought.
"Is that so? Anyway whatever. Get ready honey we'll run late, we have to get there by 12:30. You have exactly one hour to prepare. We're all using your dad's car." She says shuffling my nest of hair funnily.
"Alright help Lodzin get ready, let me take my shower this instant." I stand up and sashay towards the bathroom as she leaves my room at the same time.
I can't keep snarling at Bally like a wounded tiger all the time. I gotta act kitten sometimes, soft and sweet, so today because the day itself is so promising.
