She pulls out of the hug and takes a step back to look at me.
I'm still in shock that we've met here. Given the reason that's bringing us together.
"You have changed."
"So have you."
"It's motherhood."
"Same here." I mean motherhood hasn't changed me, but she doesn't know that.
She looks different, but she still is the pretty woman I met years ago at that resort. She is one person I never thought I would ever come across again.
I kind of left that place without saying goodbye to her, so I never did ever think of her again.
But now she is here, and it seems like our kids just got into a fight.
