“Hold on, Barron,” Otto interrupted. “We may have challengers to your title. I see two members from the Dumont Brotherhood here amongst us. Has Diakono Valencia finally agreed to a debate?”
The crowd shifted their attention to us. They seemed eager to have a new beach philosopher to join the debate against Otto and Barron.
“C’mon, Diakono Valencia, and bring us some of the Dumont Brotherhood knowledge,” Barron called. “I look forward to defeating you as well.”
The crowd laughed at Barron’s boast.
“Otto and Barron, you both know that members of the Dumont Brotherhood do not participate in philosophical debates,” Diakono Valencia replied. The crowd moaned.
“Well, I thought I would ask,” Otto said.
“We brought a visitor to our city to see you both at work,” Diakono Valencia continued. “
